ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

I'm starting to get the same feeling I got during that Rodgers/Suarez season. I think it's going to go down to the wire and City are the only thing stopping them again. They're now 6 points ahead of third.. already turning into a bit of a two-horse race

I dont mate. They are struggling every game now and it isn't even midway in the season. Their squad is not deep enough to cope with the workload. That';s why I hope they go through to the KO stages of the CL, btw. That effort you mentioned of Rodgers' team was GREATLY helped by not being in Europe at all that season.

If the Gomez injury is confirmed as a bad one today I'm calling the title done and dusted for the season. Liverpool will have lost a crucial pillar at the back and their defence will suffer badly.

yep, he has been very good...he also plays at right back if klop s worried about the opposition winger as alexander-arnold is getting found out defensively..
I hope the lad isn't badly injured in terms of his career, obvioulsy. But two months out would shatter Liverpool's season in one fell swoop.

As said, all attention on that announcement today in terms of the title race. For me he's as crucial as VVD is to their title pretensions.

Yer that would of been the title challange finished basically wouldnt it
It would have been pipe and slippers time for City. They could've lost a couple and know that they still were on for the title. Not that I think that Pep would let them drop the intensity even then. 100+ points for City this year, and they're soon going to be challenging for the title of the best ever team in the premier league.

City will walk the league. Nobody can match their financial doping.
Interesting to see Chelsea already stumbling. Looked like serious challengers (and might still be) 10 games in. If they beat City they'll be doing Liverpool a massive, massive favour. :(

And then we take a point at City the following week.
