He's tied #1 with Oblak with over 85% of saves of chances faced so far this season, Pickford was below the 60% range from what i saw on Twitter last week.

Top 10 keepers were Oblak, Alisson,Ter Stegen,Neuer,DeGea,Kepa,Lloris,Ederson, can't remember the other 2 and all were above 80% mark.
The RS get lucky in the derby and all of a sudden cockwomble has a spare few moments to spare from his busy life to come back to the forum. Just change your username to HongKongRS and stop being a pr!ck.

Yes, I'm beginning to think he's even more sinister than the cult he follows, even more cultish than the cult.
Imagine opening an account on Rawk just so you can throw your two penny worth in occasionally. Strange behaviour.
If you were doing it for banter I could get that, but @HongKongToffee presence here is strange.

Yes, good point. They might go into the market in January on that score.

Gomez looks the part with VVD. I'd say he's been equally if not more crucial to that backline of theirs holding up so far.

He'll miss about the next 14/15 PL fixtures for them - that's if he makes a recovery of around 8 weeks (and he wont be up to speed for a spell after).

That is a hammer blow to them, especially when everyone knows they have emphasised defence this season as the plinth they will erect a title challenge on.

Long term it doesn't bode well for the lad, think this is the third serious injury I can remember him having and he's only just turned 21, long term that many injuries that young will stop him reaching his potential ultimately, especially under a manager whose play style and training push players who are healthy to breaking point almost.

Rivalry aside, a shame really, liked him from the England under 17s tournament win whilst still at Charlton.

I didn't realise the amount of trouble he;s had with his ankles: http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/joe-gomez/verletzungen/spieler/256178

That's a lot of game time lost with that one area. It must be a real weakness. And he's getting fractures there too.

The lad's game is built around anticipation and pace and I can see him getting very nervy about turning and pushing off with a record like that.

With my Everton hat on I'm delighted his partnership with VVD has been wrecked and Liverpool will struggle. Even conceding 4/5 more goals than they would have over the next two months can kill their title aspirations, and I expect that to happen now. Shame for him personally.

444 days missed since October 2015 until now, given this latest injury by the time he returns he will have spent more time injured than fit over the last 4 years, at his age, it doesn't bode well, neither does one part seemingly being a weak spot, 3 injuries on it, the last being surgery to fix it - less than four months after that he cracks his ankle, much like with hamstrings, when your ankles start going like that, it'll hamper him his whole career.

Yakubu was finished by that problem, can argue baines rapid decline coincided with his ankle injuries too, not to mention ones longer back than that whose careers got derailed by that issue.

I'd also throw in the Klopp factor here too. I winced when I saw 6 weeks recovery. Any break injury like that, once into adulthood is at least 2 months. There is then the need for another 1 month (at least) to be eased back in. So best case scenario if you are looking out for the lad is early to mid March. Given the intensity Klopp's teams play at should probably be pushing towards April if you are looking after the player, and thats with no complications.

That won't happen though. He will be rushed back. Lallana and Sturridge are already finished as top footballers due to being worked into the ground. Throw in what happened at Dortmund and I'd be concerned if I was Gomez.

Given his previous record, he really ought to have a prolonged rest to make sure it's fully healed. Maybe 3 months and then 2 months recovery work after that. Make sure there is no repeat of the problems. Thats what we did with Gomes and Mina.

Correct.

No matter how impressive this first 15 games of the season, a club like Liverpool will be looking to ease out players they cant get consistency from. Once Sturridge went from bad to worse he was marginalised.

Gomez, given the amount of breakdowns he's had around the ankle, possibly has mechanical instability there. I'm no physio, but he may need structural repair that addresses that.

..losing Gomez is certainly a blow for the Reds but they continue to get the job done. Bournmouth usually play into their hands because they try and play from the back and the Reds employ a high press.

They haven't played since his injury in fairness, as we all know it will be a case of lets see where they stand after father crimbo has been

Put up a good whilst ago now a huge list of players at Dortmund and the shocking amount of injuries they started to pick up after working under klopps system for two seasons it less for some of them, noticeable that even ones who left after that time carried that with them for their careers and kept breaking down - a sign that they are generally physically broken down.

Was exceptions, but the % of players who became crocks was ridiculously higher than other sides.
