ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

I can help but think that’s us as blues putting lipstick on a pig . I certainly hope a few of these comments aren’t looked back on with regret come the end of the season.

I can assure you mate I am trying hard to convince myself. They aren't losing games despite having James Milner and Jordan Henderson playing important roles, it's worrying. The luck they get is baffling but there is also a lot to admire.

Nope. If they had been knocked out last night I'd have given them an equally good chance with City to win the title. The resource imbalance in City's favour would have pretty much been wiped out.

With Liverpool in the CL for maybe another 2 rounds/4 games (and all the disruption in preparing mentally and physically for such important games) that will stretch Liverpool to the limit. Hopefully City get Atletico Madrid or Roma and they face elimination next round in the CL.

It only seems like a few days ago when Klopp was demanding that sliding tackles (much like VVDs last night) be banned because of the danger of injury being so high. I wonder if he has "had a word" with his defender. No, probably not. It's only sliding tackles against his boys he wants banned.

Apologies, you beat me to it, hadnt seen your post when I hit the Post reply button!:oops::oops:

I know you posted before you wanted them to go through and I appreciate you can be right and may be but obviously you Can also be wrong . I’ll be honest I just want them to lose and go out of every competition as soon as possible, I prefer it .

I watched the first half of that game last night and Liverpool looked utterly clueless against a reasonably well organised Napoli...who are nothing special.

They aren't scoring a lot like last season and they dont steamroller opponents. They look pretty poor and I'm amazed they are where they are in the PL.

They'll last maybe another round of the CL and I cant see their luck holding out in the PL. They really aren't that good.

My kopite mate was adamant Jags tackle against wolves was a straight red and every time there's a similar tackle in a game I text him to remonstrate. But he always has an answer, " it wasn't the same, Jags was worse because, blah blah effin blah". I text him last night about the Van Dyke tackle. Guess what, I haven't received a reply yet. Some of them actually make stuff up in their own head until they believe it's true.

The thing is, they're not conceding goals, and if you're managing that then you're in with a shout in any game.

Its usually the best defence always wins the league.
But i just cant see it! The pressure there fans will put on them means they will combust at some point.
Im hoping, hoping to hell that a drab 0-1 pans out with a last minute winner off Fellaini's arm causes Big jose to do a full lap of honour around Anfield this weekend
