ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

Despite their current form they’re still more likely to win the CL (or the FA cup) than the prem. the best team nearly always wins the prem and over another 21 games you’d still expect that to be City. However with the two legged system, a governing body enthralled to their history and tv following, plus the prospect of not having to win a single away game but still making the final they’re still a bigger threat in the CL than the prem. Ideal scenario is that they’re already behind in the league by Feb and Klopp breaks his team trying to overcome Bayern whilst City cruise last Schalke and they have an Arsenalesque week where their season effectively ends in 7 days.
If you look at the way they set up this season in the CL it's proven a disaster on away legs when you really need to be going all out for a win. They've been timid - unlike how they took to that competition last season. If they keep that up against Bayern they'll need one of those "famous nights at Anfield" to hand them a 3 goal lead for the second leg...even a Bayern off the pace in the Bundesliga will hammer a Liverpool playing conservatively. I hope they do win that tie. Get through that and draw Barca, Madrid, Atletico/Juventus and get eliminated.

I agree completely about the PL. If they outpoint Man City over the next 21 games then (inevitable accommodating officials notwithstanding) they'll have earned it. I just dont see it in a month of Sundays.

Can't believe that the person who posted that shaquiri image didn't know the significance of it. I've mentioned them trying to out-gobshite each other before but that is a new low - must be someone off rawk. Sick mutants, hi you lurking pond life.

Would be particularly lovely if Juve knocked them out like.
