ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

Tbh I see them winning it this season. City have had too many blows regarding injury and will be focussed on all 4 comps whereas Liverpool will throw everything else if they think they can win the prem and their fans will be pleased with that. The Sturbridge goal, the Mahrez pen miss, Pickford blunder, players missing from about a yard out. Everything that could have gone for them has and on the back of that they’ve not incurred any major injuries at all. It’s been a perfect storm. I don’t think they’re the best footballing side in the league at all, City and Spurs are both better in my view, but a bit like leicester this season just seems to have their name on it with anything possible going for them. They even met Spurs at probably their lowest ebb, and seem to be on course to meet City without some of their top players and in their lowest slump of the season.

Saying that though, if City had lost a fair few games you could point to injuries, but they have only lost 2, and one of those games (against Palace) they were only missing Silva and Fernandinho from their starting 11 (they got beat by Palace because they cocked - up, not because of injuries) so you could say they haven't been that affected by injuries, Silva they reckon is back today against Leicester, so only Fernandinho missing from their starting 11 through injury for them.

The RS have had the same amount of games to contend with, and out of the RS and City, City have the better and stronger squad.

I reckon the RS won't just focus on the prem, and that will be their undoing (fingers well and truly crossed)

They were missing Aguero, Mendy, Kompany and KDB too.

So that's 6 first team players.

The only other game they lost against Chelsea, Aguero, De Bruyne and Silva (you would think they can cope without Kompany and Mendy) were missing, the other game they lost against Palace, Aguero and De Bruyne were on the bench (and both came on just after the second half, and De Bruyne scored) Silva and Fernandihno were missing. and again, you would think they could cope without Mendy and Kompany.

Fernandinho is City’s key player.

They can handle injuries, they have done all season but they can’t handle an injury to Fernandinho for any length of time.

I know for certain they’re after a Lyon midfielder in January so hopefully that will address the issue (not the one we’ve been linked with either I don’t think).

Kompany I'd agree with, not that sure he'd be a starter anyway but Mendy is a big loss.

I think pep got cocky and thought he didn't need kdb or Aguero so yeah they weren't injured. But they still didn't start.

Yeah, Fernandinho has only missed one game all season for them (against Palace) so he will be a big miss, supposedly he pulled up in training, so nothing about how bad it is.

Bore off kopite

Listen, I’m far from being a Kopite, I’m just picking up on a few things that the worst poster on the site says. The man is full of contradictions, and is just wrong in so many things he says are facts. So I’ll pull him up on it. No matter which thread it’s in. So you bore off,
