to your face maybe. doesnt mean they arent cracking jokes about you being a thief or your accent. i wouldnt go as far to say we're universally disliked, and there are plenty of people that have a fondness for the city, but there defo some truth to what he said. away fans sing the same stuff about scousers to us they do to them. popular name for liverpool fans across forums is 'bin dippers' and its purely based on the fact there from liverpool.

That says to me Summer is going to be a big one with all those clubs i named going on huge splurges, top 4 race is stronger than ever now and those clubs are miles away from the rest of the PL on and off the pitch, they are in a different market for players who are top level and top teams don't sell their best players in January with CL last 16 on the horizon.

Good post. Yeah, on reflection, “universally disliked” was a bit of an exaggeration, but there are plenty of people who dislike us, plenty of whom have never even been to Liverpool.

What goes on in a tribal atmosphere is not indicative of the individuals you will meet, I've doing what I do a long time and am perfectly capable of recognizing sincerity thank you very much, it's one of the reasons that its so easy to tell that zartan is a compete fraud

The real difference is that City winning the league still leaves them miles behind United's trophy haul. So they still don't feel inferior and, just as relevant, are still competitive.

We, OTOH, are having to take up both ends.. Their success and our failings.
