I don't live in the city, but I definitely don't want them to win. So that aside, your comparison doesn't really make any sense. This team isn't finishing 2nd. If you tell me that the game vs man city would ensure a champions league spot, what would you want then?

Granted, that would require a good team to qualify, something we dont have now, so I'll take the loss. It's easy to say lose to city if you're crap, who cares about 2nd. But if this team could actually win anything you wouldn't be saying that imo.

Am I right in saying, that you would sacrifice good progress of our Club to stop them winning the League? You’d pretty much feel like you today for the next 3 years if it meant them not winning the League? If you feel that way, you may as well stop supporting us. I want us to lose on Wednesday, but that’s because it means jack, I wouldn’t want Europa League next year either as it would hamstring us for next season. But if it meant something, like top 4, I’d jump at the chance and live with the consequences. At the end of the day, surely, it’s about what we do and wanting progress. That should be no1 priority, not what another team is doing.

People need to stop shitting themselves. I’m pretty confident that they won’t win the league. Yes, they are 5 points clear of City, but it’s February and there are plenty of games left to play. I, for one, won’t be hoping that City batter us. Very sad, in my opinion. I’d rather us concentrate on finding a way to take points off them. People seem to think we have no chance but it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that we can beat them.
