Liverpool have always had racists in their fan base. We still do, it’s awful but it’s true.

So has Everton. So has everyone else.

Yes every club has racist fans, because you still have racial segregation and tension in society. Just like most lads over the age of 21 used homophobic language in school, because it was considered amusing at the time, but most lads including myself stop it when they grow up. Yes of course there are Everton fans who say racist things at football matches, I've witnessed it, but in almost all of those cases the offenders have been drunken morons or young lads thinking they're funny. However it's completely different when a club defends a player after the player admits to saying the things he said. Then they decide to wear stupid shirts at Wigan, like he's some sort of hero. Then Liverpool fans racially abuse numerous people who challenge their behaviour, then racially abuse an Oldham player, boo Partice Evra for daring to be racially abused and not just stand there and take it and then refuse to shake the guys hand, when he goes to shake yours after you were in the wrong. Even Millwall have made huge efforts to try and deal with racism from their fans, Chelsea have made efforts as well. Liverpool condone the behaviour of their fans, other clubs don't that's the difference.

He’s doing it with very reasonable language, but nonetheless, he’s taking the RS route and refusing to see the real problem with events like Heysel and the Suarez racism. I'm not a caller for bans as a general principle, but his apologist filth for that club is nauseating. It's a decision for others to make and take, but for me either he has to acknowledge their appalling historic acts or be shipped out.

I was 4 years old when it happened. I wasn’t there, I have no idea what the specifics of the events were, and it’s not in the discussion, so why constantly bring it up.

There’s a massive difference between whitewashing and running from the past, and just not having to have a conversation about it all the time. You mention it for no reason other than “to bash”
