ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Morning David.

I’ll let this be my last word for a while, and it’s orobabkt best addressed in your direction as you’re without doubt the worst, but it also goes to @Naisy'sCharitableLeanings above.

You call my posts nauseating. The reason? Because I don’t accept you spouting your hypocritical, paint an entire group as evil, BS.

It’s your place to say what you like, but you don’t like being called on what is absolute rubbish.

I only do it because I’m sick of the horrible nasty atmosphere that has built between the clubs.

It’s nauseating to hear... but there’s nothing sickening about using the deaths of 38 people to score points on the internet?

That’s where @Naisy'sCharitableLeanings comes in...

Above you say

Why do I need to comment on Hayel at all?

I was 4 years old when it happened. I wasn’t there, I have no idea what the specifics of the events were, and it’s not in the discussion, so why constantly bring it up.

There’s a massive difference between whitewashing and running from the past, and just not having to have a conversation about it all the time. You mention it for no reason other than “to bash”
You are tedious bore now get off our forum KOPITES ARE GOB......

Morning mate, what we put in here about your club isn't 'absolute rubbish', it's what us and the majority of other supporters from other clubs see when we look at LFC, from the outside looking in.

As for the horrible, nasty atmosphere that has built, well Heysel is a massive part of that so from my reckoning us bringing it up is fair game - the fact Liverpool or it's supporters don't recognise it is deplorable (39 people died by the way, not 38 - if you look 40 feet up on the Centenary Stand at Anfield, you'll see an A4 sized plaque 'commemorating' it) and of course there was the Emlyn Hughes incident which divided the City, amongst many, many other incidents you probably don't want to talk about.

It sounds to me you aren't very knowledgeable on any aspects of either Everton's or Liverpool's history - so for you to come on here with your uninformed opinion and chastise us rubs us up the wrong way.

I had hopes that you would be different to the many other Kopites that turn up on here but you're exactly the same.

... Let's turn this around. If Manchester United fans were responsible for committing a horrid act, which led to deaths of fellow football fans and Liverpool FC being banned from European competition while at the zenith of their powers and having arguably the best team in Europe, would you feel the tiniest sense of bitterness?

Furthermore - Liverpool FC's greatest team of a generation gets broken up as its players go abroad to play in European competition, thereby starting a steady decline of the club over the next two decades.

And, to rub salt in, Manchester United as a club refuse to acknowledge it's own fans part in the tragedy, and its own responsibility to English football in its entirety. Not even an apology.

Then..... Man U FC fans glorify the tragedy by poking fun at Liverpool with banners celebrating the fact that Liverpool weren't able to compete in the aforementioned European competition.

That's the truth of the matter, and frankly I don't begrudge any Evertonian from having a hatred of that football club. Yep, hate is a strong word, but when your own city neighbours treat you with such utter contempt and disrespect, no surprise that's the overriding feeling.

Personally, I can never understand why any right-thinking individual would want to align themselves with that football club.

They were showing support for a player that they felt had been unfairly judged and punished.

I’ve absolutely no interest in arguing about whether he is as or not, but that’s what the club said and what they felt.

They weren’t supporting a racist, they were supporting someone they felt had been unfairly cast as one.

I think lots of people at the time and since thought it was an error to wear those T-shirt’s, but irrespective it wasn’t a racist gesture.
I was at the oldham game where a lad was racially abused by your fsns to the point of tears, same game the monkey gestures occured. It was at the manic height of the defend suarez at all costs period, and tge atmosphere was palpable and en masse. In short it was digusting and your fan base made a choice that sporting tribalism was more important to them than racism

Note in the media how there isn't even a champions of england anymore, just a top two

Don't care what anyone says, last season all we got from Sky before the season even started was CHAMPIONS v CHALLENGERS. Numerous dodgy decisions later and it goes to the wire. Fill the media with RS who tell the masses what to think and what not to question and job done..

basically anyone who chooses to support them knows nothing about the cult they've joined. They see their brand plastered everywhere on billboards, nivea adverts and loads of second hand charity shops. So many people in wales "support" the cult, but have no idea when they play, where they are in the league, more than 2 players etc. It's just one of those things to say "oh yeah football, i like football, i support liverpool" in the pub for conversational purposes. If you asked them a couple of in-depth questions about football, you get the "oh, i don't follow them that closely" response and that's the end of the conversation. They choose to follow the brand, they have no idea about the racist supporting, murdering aspects that the cult thrives on. Hence why you get violent criminals trying to fit in trying to rock buses and ambulances, attending parade's just to fit in.
