ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Saw this gem on Facebook:

A LIVERPOOL FAN didn’t fire anything at one of the City’s most beloved landmarks, and neither did a football fan – an absolute whopper did.

You see, some Evertonians have been using what happened down at the Pier Head to fuel their anti-LFC agenda.

If we let the actions of a small number of idiots be the basis we judge a whole fan-base on, then perhaps all Everton fans are xenophobes…

Less than 12 months ago, a fan of the Blues admitted to committing a hate crime against Liverpool player Mohamed Salah, as per this Echo report.

So are all Everton fans xenophobes? Of course not! Why then, when one or two idiots act up, should an entire fan-base be painted with one brush?

Absolute classic RS response here, he’s not really a Liverpool fan, youse have fans who do bad things, etc etc. One of the comments below this then points out that the guy is apparently from Scarisbrick (so conveniently a wool for the purposes of their argument) and “might” be an Everton fan.

No mention on the status of the thousands of fans out breaking social distancing rules during a pandemic and whether they can be classed as Liverpool fans, nor indeed those jumping on police vans or engaging in other streetbound violence, I note.

Within ANY set of supporters there will be a minority of utter scumbags. God knows we have our share of these individuals.
The fact is though that although the bellwhifs who were directly responsible for causing havoc during their 'celebrations' may be in the minority, the huge majority that were laughing, cheering them on and filming on their phones are just as guilty by default.
I'm sick of hearing from kopites that "it was just a few kids" being irresponsible.
I know that on the occasions that I have seen a few kids acting like morons at Everton gatherings, there have always been plenty of blues willing to call them out and put a stop to their behaviours.
They keep harping on about those responsible being a 'tiny minority' It's just not true. Every 'fan' that attended those gatherings and stood by doing nothing to prevent the havoc is just as guilty as the idiot firing the rockets. Their fanbase as a whole is beyond contempt.
One of the major differences between our club and theirs in my humble opinion.

Next thing they will be saying this poor excuse for a responsible adult is an Evertonian living in Scarisbrick too .

The whole over the top celebrating from this lot was totally false. They won the league months ago but acted like it was a last minute winner. They just had to show the world that they are best at celebrating? I think that backfired miserably and showed them up for what they really are.

Best summed up by........

“Bad losers, even worse winners”!

Ashamed of nothing, offended by everything.

Yet this whopper they're on about wasn't the only one firing rockets at the building and they were also encouraged and cheered by all the other 'whoppers' who must of been pretending to be LFC fans

I sort of laughed at that one. The gawping grinning face for the camera. If you're in any sort of vaguely professional job then come Monday morning you're going to be having a very serious conversation with your line manager.

The idiot who launched the firework as well will struggle to avoid jail time. I can't imagine it will be a long sentence but he will be criminalised and I'm going to guess he won't be very well suited to Walton jail.

I won't lie, I laughed at the sniff and the lamppost ones a lot. In the former, to be honest none of those lids will be in a job where it's of any consequence, they looked early 20s at most
