ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

I think Guardiola knows that win yesterday kept them in the hunt and snapping at Liverpool's heels. He can see how difficult it was for them to close out two title winning positions in recent memory and knows the monkey on Liverpool's back. He knows also Liverpool will have their poor patch, and the squad weakness they have will be exposed with one key injury upfront. It must happen this season, they've kept Salah, Mane and Firmino relatively injury free for a long time. If Mane was forced off the pitch that would be that, IMO. He is easily Liverpool's most talented player.
I agree with this Dave, but your conspiracy theories don't hold water with me mate, yes they have the propaganda machine within the press and punditry sown up, but they're just having a run of luck as regards poor keeping, the tide will turn and the one thing for sure is when they lose a couple Klopp will lose it at the same time.

I’m looking forward to watching Klopp have a breakdown more than them actually dropping the points. The man’s a lunatic and I think he’s looking for the exit door. He knows this is as good as it gets over there, City have got there number and he’ll be off to Real Madrid or alike the first chance he gets.

Watching City live yesterday they’re just in a different league to Liverpool.

I never feel awe of Liverpool like I did watching City yesterday and that was a game we were supposedly competitive in.

It's happened way too many times. GKs 'losing their heads' in their games. How many times have we seen GKs in big PL games that affect the title (and at such delicate points in the game) lose their heads? If it happens, it doesn't happen anywhere near how many times it happens in Liverpool's favour.

A conspiracy you find implausible? Ok. But we do KNOW that GKs have conspired to lose games in the past, dont we?

Like it or not, liverpool are one of the best teams in europe right now. They have the results and trophy to back it up and right now sitting on top of the league, they are setting the groundworks for cementing that place as one of the best teams.

Some of it is down to luck, some astute signings and a tactic that seems to work no matter the players on the pitch. Personally i dont think their defence or midfield (minus van dijk) are anything special, but they dont need to be. That is the difference with them and us in a nutshell, they have a midfield to do a job and thats it, whereas we put everything on ours and the shortcomings of what we have are there to see. If we moved the ball quicker through the middle then our attack would be a damn sight more potent. If siggurdson could actually run then he would be deadly in his position.

the last thing they need is a loss in the league. Once that comes then the gloves are off in terms of being able to beat them. They look unbeatable right now and for good reason, any other club in their position and people would fawn over them. Someone needs to draw blood, whether it is beating them or taking their key players out. Then they will start to falter.

Yes but not collectively with the same aim, what about Karius? no, of course, he was just a nightmare goalie who got found out, thankfully when it mattered, there's more and more howlers every week by goalies, due to a number of factors, I would love your theory to stand up but it doesn't lets just accept the fact the RS have a very good side at the moment, and hope for the worst for them.

Did you see how rank they were yesterday?

They didn't get that goal by virtue of the fact they kept knocking on Sheff Utds door and pressured them into a mistake.

Bread and butter save that even his own manager gave him a bollocking for not easily making.

I know Dean Henderson as I'm mates with his Dad Dougie, he's a United fan and hopes to be De Gea's long term replacement and England's number 1. He'll be gutted by yesterday and he was someone I was hoping Everton would look at. Its horrendous what happened yesterday but he's not part of some goalkeeping conspiracy to help Liverpool win the league. He hates them every bit as much as we do.
