ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Na
In something like boxing possibly. There's too many people involved in football for it to happen

Too much money in the game for it not to be happening. Do you really think that whilst every other sport has had doping scandals, matchfixing, betting scandals, blood issues etc. the richest sport of them all is completely squeaky clean?!

It wouldn’t surprise me at all if half of the premier league isn’t doping which would include City and Liverpool. As for those two it’s my opinion they’ve instituted a regime of systemic doping so sophisticated it’s surpassed anything anyone else is doing or has done before. There’s been better managers than these two before in the prem with better players yet none of them have come anywhere close to what these two have done. Ferguson with his great United teams, Mourinho with his first Chelsea side, even Wenger’s invincibles all dropped points quite regularly. They were all better sides than this Liverpool team by a long way. These teams aren’t fatiguing any more, they play a style of football that demands ridiculous levels of fitness yet can reel off three games in a week with travel etc. and not need to rotate and there’s no drop in performance. They run over teams in Europe with absolute ease and its no coincidence to me that only Spurs and Liverpool have put City out and it took a Gareth Bale wondershow to do the same to Liverpool in the last two campaigns. Average players such as Milner Henderson Robertson Matip Origi have suddenly become absolute physical units who run over even the likes of Kante in the league.

It’s the richest competition in the world and people think that the types of people running these sort of clubs have moral lines when it comes to why they will or won’t do for an advantage? They’ve hacked each other’s systems, sold and bought teenagers illegally, broken FFP, aided and abetted the attack of another team’s coach. But drugs and match fixing? No they couldn’t possibly.

This is what I've said to other people and people have laughed it off. Teams like the United side of 10 years ago, with players like Vidic, Ferdinand, Evra, Carrick, Scholes, Nani, Ronaldo, Tevez and Rooney weren't destroying teams in the way Liverpool are. You look at previous Liverpool teams with players like Reina, Skirtel, Agger, Alonso, Gerrard and Torres, they didn't perform anywhere near the standard Liverpool are. Arguably Arsenal on paper aren't that different from Liverpool, with the exception of VVD in defence their players are of similar quality. For a goalkeeper to let to ball go through their arms into the net twice in 1 week is at the very least suspicious. If a boxer mysteriously went down after a minor punch twice, people would have suspicions. Just what are the chances that it could happen twice in week, yes strange things happen but no so consistently.

So going by that “logic”, Pickford must be bent as well then right?
Not really, up until that mistake he'd largely done pretty well, that was simply an example of Pickford's arrogance. Other mistakes that were made that have benefited Liverpool were quite clearly just mistakes. But you do have to be some what suspicious, when it happens over and over again. For them to get 2 goals in a week, through unusual goalkeeping errors is more than just the RS being the RS.

It would of come out by now if it was.
If Russia's Putin can't bypass it I can't see how footballers can.

We are in a day and age where literally anything can be hacked from phones to presidential campaigns to man city's personal accounts, yet you think footballers can keep a lid on it.

No chance.

People forget we had the hardest working team in the league under Moyes, we lacked quality but in terms of workrate were blowing teams off the park

I think there’s a lack of a whistleblower. No one wants to upset the apple cart, why would they? Even in cycling one of the dirtiest sports going there’s only hard evidence coming out now from races 7 years ago.

It will be cutting edge stuff, same as it was in cycling that is in the grey area of current anti doping laws and would be so difficult to prove.

I’m in absolutely no doubt it occurs though. Watching the City Liverpool matches last season were ridiculous. Bernardo Silva who has (had) no pace, David Silva (33 - no pace at any point in his career) Fernandinho (over 30) were engaging in a ridiculously high paced pressing match with Liverpool’s souped up midfield who have been able to run over everyone else in the league.

No one can live with these teams. People throw up the example of Norwich etc. but that was just pure luck, same as Palace last season, City rained down 20 shots and Norwich scored from their three.

Last two seasons we have seen a long-standing premier league points record beaten three times. The winning run record beaten by both sides. Goals for records being obliterated. All of this against the backdrop of even more games occurring for these teams to handle. I can’t buy that teams including Milner Henderson Matip etc. are better than the likes of the 08 United team or 05 Chelsea team yet their numbers are just abnormal bettered only by a freak City team both of whom are so far ahead of everyone else in Europe it’s embarassing.

Very much this, it will be a technique that isn't commonly know and is currently outside of the scope of the rules/testing techniques but the amount of physical work without any fatigue injuries is amazeballs.

City got fined I recall for missing loads of drug tests in the 100 point season.

Guardiola works with 2 Catalan doctors who are implicated in the " Operation Puerto" case, where Spanish riders, Real and Barca , Spanish national team were implicated where evidence has been sealed by the Spanish state.

Your forgetting momentum, this is a big thing.
when was the last time Liverpool lost in the league at anfield.
They walk into matches look at the team sheet and know they will win.
Fergies boys had the same aura at old trafford, they played until the final whistle hence they got so many late goals.

Anyone can get injured, even if doping did occur that doesn't prevent a leg breaking tackle.

All this talk of he played every game nonsense.
Liverpool last season had 2 mini breaks of 10 days as they went out of both cups early, also had 2 weeks off before the cl final. City rotated regularly.
