My Uncle supports United. Think it was Munich, and he isnt really into football, more a rugby bloke.

So he actually doesnt support them I guess, but he deffo doesnt support us or them.

I mean I'd love to know who they think they are impressing with the old "my 3rd cousins, mates, wifes, boss once visited New Brighton and has the Boys from the Blackstuff complete set on DVD" routine. You are on a forum full of people from Liverpool. Nobody is interested in who your grandma was.

I notice he's not even made an attempt to defend the fact neither he, nor either of his parents are from Liverpool. It's just some pathetic attempt to LARP at being a scouser with his "heritage".

You know whats funny. So few of their fans are actually from the city, and so out of touch they are with this city, his "my grandma's from Warrington" act probably puts him at the top of the tree. He probably dines out on that at the local tory club down in Padstow. It just gets laughed off on here. Seen as the fraud he is. 99% of them of them are frauds as well.

They dont get it mate. Never will, cos they dont havnt any cogent link with the city. Those like me, marooned for 40 plus years in Bristol, still know what it is. (but actually dont, cos it just is) Folk like me will still have family there, Dads with a (faint) scouse twang, and when drink has been taken, even my native tongue will make an appearance. Amuses Mrs R no end.
