The imaginary season ticket thing, was meant as ironic mate. I mean you can't actually have an imaginary season ticket can you?
I tend to use a Season ticket, in your own name as a metric for being a supporter as opposed to a bandwagon jumper. It's not fool proof, but it tends to sift out a lot of bandwagon jumpers I find. I don't really take those who haven't very seriously. They tend to hold views dictated to them by sky television- like the FA Cup isn't very important and stuff like that. I'd say there was a very clear correlation on those things.

Well in that instance I wasn't actually. I was using the point he was good at Bayern to displace the theory a previous red had on here that he had been useless since 2014 (unlike Thiago). It's not true. He has done very well since 2014, albeit with some ups and downs.

In all seriousness, most of the time you don't even have to engage in an intellectual (or otherwise) debate with them. You just ask them a couple of targetted questions and see what range of nonsense they will come out with to avoid answering. In the end you don't even need the original question answered, such is the breadth of responses they will provide.
