ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

For the record, I try to get to Anfield several times a season. You are of the "Sky generation" I'm afraid; I'm way too old to be part of that. Oh and I have scouse heritage from my grandfather going back, so a closer affinity then you, I daresay...

Ah ok, so not a season ticket holder then? Thats interesting. On the 382 year waiting list I'd imagine.

Not that it matters, but on both sides of my faily are local match going blues for generations. The ones that are still alive keep going (only 1, quite elderly grand parent left).

You could call me "sky generation" (I'm not sure what that phrase is mind). I started going before the big Sky generation really. Either way, it's more the derisory attitude towards the worlds oldest cup competition (and the one thats not covered by sky) that tends to mark out those who are very much your archetypal modern fans. I couldn't care less when you said you did or didn't first get your imaginary season ticket, it's more a comment on your value set as evidenced in this discussion.

Not sure what you're trying to say here as it isn't particularly coherent.

Take a deep breath & have anotther go...

Why don't you have a go at answering the questions. Give it a try. It's your chance to put your defence as to why you seem unaware of a Liverpool game that happened about 10 or so games back. I'm just trying to give you an opportunity to explain, as otherwise people are likely to leap to their own conclusions.

This is just so weird.

If he/she started watching football in 1977, he/she is similar age to me; same generation, football wise anyrate.

And he/she started this by announcing to the world that his football knowledge is so good, he cant see that James is a quality player. That, or he is bitter and obsessed with the oldest club in a city he has never lived in.

Bizarre.

Theres always the heritage, isnt there?

I do love the "several times a season" what in a lockdown?

He seems to think because he has a grandad that excuses him belittling the FA Cup or not knowing how his team got in about 15 games ago.

This is what they do. They post rubbish, and rather than just say "ah yes, I was wrong about that, Lampard has outclassed Jurgen Klopp before" they try to cultivate this elaborate defence. I'll let others be the judge at how effective they think it is (no doubt he think's he comes across well).

he is stepped in the stench of murder. CRUSH him without mercy.

Its mad, I've never met an out of town kopite who didn't have some mythical uncle or grandfather they used to go the match with as kids. Then as soon as they had their own money they couldnt get tickets anymore.

I'm sure somewhere theres one who just saw them on tv every week and liked that they won stuff, but I've never encountered one in the wild.
