ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Why don't you have a go at answering the questions. Give it a try. It's your chance to put your defence as to why you seem unaware of a Liverpool game that happened about 10 or so games back. I'm just trying to give you an opportunity to explain, as otherwise people are likely to leap to their own conclusions.
I forgot that Liverpool lost to Chelsea in the cup; I remember beating them 2-1 at the Bridge, 5-3 at Anfield, on penalties in the Super cup after a 2 all draw & obviously yesterday win as well.

Does that answer your rather odd question?

This is just so weird.

If he/she started watching football in 1977, he/she is similar age to me; same generation, football wise anyrate.

And he/she started this by announcing to the world that his football knowledge is so good, he cant see that James is a quality player. That, or he is bitter and obsessed with the oldest club in a city he has never lived in.

Bizarre.

He seems to think that he started watching them in 1977 that makes him immune from the mindset of your "modern football fan"- ie disregarding the traditional cup competitions over more commercially viable and televised ones.

I mean I've got no idea when he did or didn't start watching them, it's a name on a screen who could say anything. However his attitude that he isn't bothered about the FA Cup is reflexive of the modern football fan. Thats fair enough as well, but at least own it.

As for James, I don't know where to start on that one. Arguing he was poor at Bayern as a "fact" when he was in the team of the year again just seems ludicrous. I'm sure he's winning in his own head though.

Ah ok, so not a season ticket holder then? Thats interesting. On the 382 year waiting list I'd imagine.

Not that it matters, but on both sides of my faily are local match going blues for generations. The ones that are still alive keep going (only 1, quite elderly grand parent left).

You could call me "sky generation" (I'm not sure what that phrase is mind). I started going before the big Sky generation really. Either way, it's more the derisory attitude towards the worlds oldest cup competition (and the one thats not covered by sky) that tends to mark out those who are very much your archetypal modern fans. I couldn't care less when you said you did or didn't first get your imaginary season ticket, it's more a comment on your value set as evidenced in this discussion.
Why is that interesting; how many Evertonians on this site are ST holders? I never said I had a season ticket imaginary or otherwise so stop making things up again...

To be fair Roydo,I couldnt tell you anything about James,Thiago,Jota or any number of players,I only watch Everton

Oh I had vaguely heard of him, but didnt have a clue he was at RM. Nor how good he was, nor how popular.

Like I hadnt heard of that lad the RS bought the other day neither.

More lies, I'm afraid. Show me the post where I state James was poor at Bayern as a "fact".

Saying something over and over does not make it any truer!

Where have I said that James is not a quality player; I've never said that.

Well it's not really what I asked, but I can see you are unable/unwilling to answer fairly straightforward questions.

For the record, you'd have saved yourself looking a bit stupid if you'd have just said you forget Lampard outclassed Klopp about 15 games ago rather than create this very odd and wholly unconvicing explanation to try and make out it didn't happen. Often the most simple explanation is the one that makes you look least ridiculous. You're welcome.

Its mad, I've never met an out of town kopite who didn't have some mythical uncle or grandfather they used to go the match with as kids. Then as soon as they had their own money they couldnt get tickets anymore.

I'm sure somewhere theres one who just saw them on tv every week and liked that they won stuff, but I've never encountered one in the wild.

I reckon his Ma got finger blasted outside The 051 so on that basis he has a strong affinity with the City
