ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

I think that suggestion got widely refuted, bot least from LFC fans as they wanted to break the record. They kept playing their best team to the end. Unfortunately they just weren't good enough.

Very fair point re players, but fans can want what they want. Management teams wont be influenced by that, I've no idea if it's correct, but it certainly appears from the chelsea and arsenal matches that a switch has been turned back on

If they play like they did v Arsenal there’s going to be nothing us or anyone else will be able to do about it. Arsenal could barely get on the ball and pretty much got bossed for 95 minutes. People say it’s because Arsenal were rubbish but they’d been playing well and didn’t actually play that bad. Liverpool’s running and fitness is just a different league to anyone else in Europe at the moment though. Robertson and Mane are unnaturally fast and our right side will be Rodriguez floating infield and Seamus Coleman. We’ll have to sit deep against them but if they play to that pace it will be damage limitation for us. People don’t want to hear that but you’d have to be prime Barcelona to deal with that kind of doped up performance levels. They had a period straight after lockdown when they looked human and against Leeds but they seem to be straight back on the juice now. Let’s hope that was a one off but if they are back at that level it’s a level that’s seem them barely drop a point in close to two years in the league and got to two CL finals in a row.
Two finals but they have lost a lot of games in Europe in the last 3 years, the prem is a low standard right now so they are clearly the best side in the league but some way off being thought of with the really great sides like prime barca

They have lost quite a few in Europe including twice to Carlo’s Napoli. Also Real, Roma, PSG, Red Star, Barcelona and Athleitco Madrid x2.
They’re a very good side but far from unbeatable. Hopefully Carlo can work some of his Napoli magic come the derby.
