ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

They'll be lucky to see him play again this season and it'll be a big miss; also, more importantly it'll be an advantage for a lot other teams as he is their linchpin.

A few more injuries to key players and their challenge will be difficult. Anyway regardless of the rivalry, I don't wish a serious injury on any player.
Don't wish it but not bothered. We all get our share. If he was not trying to damage James to begin with then might have some sympathy (Not really) but he puts it about and this time was unlucky...that's life Lurch.

The witch hunt and national mourning by the sports media and pundits is a bit disturbing tbh.

Would this “horror challenge” have received half the hyperbole it has if it weren’t the same 2 players involved?

Weren’t even the worst foul we seen yesterday imho.
If he hadn’t suffered the unfortunate injury, the incident wouldn’t have been talked about beyond the fact that Pickford got lucky with the offside.

Only now we’re seeing the beauts talk about retrospective bans, new extra long bans for challenges they don’t like and they’re trying to make out it was somehow a premeditated act intended to harm the player ffs.

As ever it’s being perpetuated by the heavily weighted pro RS media. Shows just what a cult they are when usually decent sports journos who are also Kopites are trotting out the same cult mantra.

And neither tackle was in the same league as VD's on Dries Mertens a couple of years back.
