ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Awkward for them. Their instinct is to attack anyone standing up to Klopp; but they couldn't in this case as it was a high profile media man: hence they've fallen back to a ludicrous position that this was a worthwhile intellectual debate between two people coming together to talk the point over.

They know full well Klopp was handed his arse because he was doing his usual tantrum routine, and it was there for all the world to see - so they try and present and repackage it for the punters.

Hilarious seeing the chimps of the Kopite media tying themselves up in knots over this.

Klopp picking a fight with the media, along with the FA is really dumb.

It's clear the sort of fouls/offside they would get away with, they now wont.

His attack on the broadcasters will not serve him well. If they stop with the slavish devotion of what a wonderful bloke he is, is will limit him a lot more.

I mean his points seems to be, the 2.5 hours between playing at 1230 and playing at 1500 makes all.the difference. I'd love to know how?

It was desperate and stupid when OGS did it. But hes a dead duck of a manager waiting to be sacked. Hes got nothing to lose. No idea why Klopp has picked up Manchester Uniteds baton for them.

United and the rs have thrown their weight into the Euro Franchise League and have tied themselves together. A lot of what they say mirrors what the other clubis saying. They fancy themselves as the Real and Barca of England.

As for Klopp. He'll go nova soon enough. Just give it time. Once the media turn on him, and they never have really, then he'll blow- it's a matter of time now.

Again on the Kelly thing: the Kopite controlled media caught in no mans land between one of their own and their master, Klopp: coming out with stuff like: "that was an interesting debate".

Lol.

Even the BBC have changed their tune on him this morning, first time I've noticed any negative spin on a Klopp interview despite his many ridiculous rants after defeats.....be hilarious if he doubles down on this rant, and permanently loses Liverpools 12th man (the media), and as a result their 13th man (the ref)....

It's exactly what he did at Dortmund when the wheels fell off there and his team disintegrated through injuries.

They will do. Look lets have it right, Klopp is a dream for broadcasting companies. Tall, handsome very erudite, thoughtful etc and had a track record of winning and winning in quite a unique way at Dortmund. It's a great story. It's not all conspiracy when things like this happen.

However this does feel like a turn. Broadcasters will not be happy to sit by and see their employees and themselves attacked in the manner they are. It will change perceptions. They will see it as an attack on themselves. They will also be quite aware that there are some within footbll, ho bizarrely wantt o cut broadcasters out. It's human nature to want to be more cautious with those orgs who do, and perhaps not do as much to build them up.

I'm surprised by Klopp. On the face of it, they are top, or very close to top, almost certainly qualified in Europe, although they have been knocked out of the third cup competition. I mean it's not ideal but it's not disastrous. What happens if he slips from 1st to say 4th or 5th?

It's hilarious really. This is United who aren't even in the top 10 currently. I think there is a backlash against them, and a lot of the favourable calls they used to get are stopping now. I think this may continue to happen.

Just saw Klipperty's rant at their own in-house broadcaster BT Sport, very funny even if not without some justification.

Top teams will always moan at any disadvantage, and it's why the Europa League Thursday Sunday schedule has long been seen as a graveyard for league prospects, but this already heavily congested pandemic affected season makes any further perceived problems far worse.

If it's far worse for the sh*te compared to their real competitors then as their manager it'll really irritate him and interviewing him just after such a big late blow was always asking for trouble.

Like most great managers who don't suffer disappointment often, when they do they hate it and react badly.

BT Sport must be in shock - one of their own having a real go at them.

Liverpool may soon have to revert back to having LFCTV as their only in-house broadcaster - BT Sport might have to up their game (and their bias).

11 different CB pairings in the last 16 games for Liverpool. That's the effect of the VVD injury.

It's coming home to roost now because the games are coming thick and fast and fatigue means they're leaving a lot of space in behind the defenders; and other injuries see them dip into what was thought to be a very good, deep well of youngsters - who aren't, in reality, all that (as per Williams yesterday).

Sounds a little like Trump with Fox news this, a very emotional parting of the ways. BT will have to do a Boot Room special or something to get back in favour.

I half watched that interview with him like but what I don't get is why is he mentioning Chris wilder there? That context is lost on me.

Wilder has strongly opposed the 5 sub rule being introduced to the Premier league over the past week, and I believe he had labelled the big clubs selfish for wanting this (as clearly it benefits the clubs with the bigger squads)....

So basically, Wilder is doing nothing wrong, simply looking out for the best interests of smaller clubs like his own, and standing up to the bullying of Klopp and the big clubs....Klopp childishly is calling him selfish for that reason
