ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

I’m somewhat impressed they’re missing all their center backs and still not conceding a couple more goals.

If we had to start Pennington and another youth teamer we’d be conceding 3 goals a game...

As others have said, it reflects poorly on the league that they can play the way they are and still be three points clear so early on.
13 games have been played. Bar a last minute goal they wouldn't have been top.

There's another Villa type result in them I feel. They can be got at.
It'll be teams like that to beat them regularly over this season. They've exposed Liverpool all season so far. It's the teams around them who the penny hasn't dropped with. They're there to not only be beaten by a team that has good players, but webbed all over the shop. There's too much credit being given to them.

If Guardiola had pulled his finger out by letting go of players on the downward slope and past their best, and replaced them with great talent, they'd be home and dry this season. City should have made it their business to shift either Jesus or Aguero out and get Werner in. He'd have been played in all day and night by the likes of De Bruyne.

The Red Echo just has to link anything to the vermin.

I just check on (rare for me) to see what caused the mayhem getting home - seems a wagon took some wall panels out in the Birkenhead tunnel, so they had to report that a former RS full back, David Raven (who??) was delayed in the gridlock.
Dogs danglers to the other thousands of people, it was more important that someone associated with Murderpool is not inconvenienced too much

I also think there's a bit of complacency creeping in. Natural, I guess, but they don't seem to raise their game as much against the perceived 'lesser sides'. That's no slight on Villa et al, more the sheer arrogance of Big Stand FC

The Echo now lives in absolute fear of the RS, and it's demented cult of a fanbase.

The owners, manager, players, and customers can engage in any dubious behaviours, and the rag is silent.

As you say, no 'story' (however far removed from football) is free from a reference to the RS.

It's pathetic, and I long for the day when it goe's under.
