ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

I couldn’t find the sky sports thread so I’m going to vent here. The sky sports coverage of Everton v Arsenal was scandalous. Redknapp and souness in the studio. Spitty on co-comm. Then souness giving it the snide after we won. Where was Kevin Campbell. He would have been perfect.

Think there’s pretty good odds Arteta could be in the studio for the reverse fixture this season lol

It's every game now, they're everywhere, throw in Kelly Cates nee Dalgleish and you've got the full set on there
All that aside is it nor about time they put Sounness out to grass? He wouldn't get a job out there in management as his views and ideas are so outdated yet there he is pontificating on games all weekend, Spotty should never have been let back after his suspension, he's now stinking out the gaff, what hold do these guys have over the hierarchy on Sky?

They shouldn't have permanent pundits, just get one ex player from each team every game.

Spot on mate.

I'd rather have someone like Ian Wright as a pundit on our games against Arsenal. At least he would be biased because he loves the team that is playing us rather than simply despising us.
But you're correct. A bit of balance. One from each club.
Souness is a cucking funt.

Carragher, dalglish jr, and redknapp. It’s really does look like a Liverpool’s official tv station.
Souness I actually find the most tolerable. He is pretty venomous to everyone. Redknapp manages to not say anything of value or controversial about anyone that he thinks he may ever see in person. Happy to give pelters to average foreigners from second rate nations.
Carragher is stealing a living, what is going on? Second rate to Neville.spitting was a perfect opportunity to get him gone

Do away with pundits altogether, show the game, at half time we see goals from earlier games or even last weeks games, show the post game interviews and move onto the next program. Does anyone actually watch the post game analysis these days?

Nor does Wright hide his love for Arsenal and will still talk about other clubs with some degree of objectivity. That shower's thin guise of impartiality is sickening.

I remember when we played Spurs a couple of years ago at Gooidson and the pundits were Sounness, Redknapp and Bellamy - the whole red brigade.

Haven't watched pre - match stuff for years properly.

I do like hearing from old players though but not these media trained personality vacuums that are on the couch these days.

Get the old players in who can have a laugh and hold an actual opinion rather than a corporate message.

I like Micah Richards though, he seems more natural than the others.

Richards is good.

Still only 32 years old so understands the modern game well.

I think it's mainly because he either hasn't taken on board the media training or has chosen to ignore aspects of it to just be himself.

He says a lot of good stuff but he isn't afraid to have an opinion in contrast to the others who answer like politicians and want to portray themselves as all knowing. When Richards gets things wrong he just laughs it off. Seems like a really nice guy too.

When Everton are on I turn it on about a minute before kickoff and bang the kettle on at halftime and do a few bits around the house, then back for the 2nd half and it's off at the full-time whistle, sometimes I'll leave it on to hear from the managers.
