James plays at a walking pace, he can be top draw for years to come whereas Salah relies on his pace and has probably peaked/is peaking. And Allan was signed because we needed top quality proven midfield combatants and he’s come in and done exactly that and only on a three year contract I believe.

I never said that Everton were wrong to sign the two older players, just pointed out the hypocrisy of slagging them off for extending a proven top level younger players contract who they then wouldn't then have the problem of his contract running down and losing him for next to nothing (compared to his real value.)
