ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Almost like it is the second largest thread here
Most Evertonians chat about how stupid their fanbase is or poke fun of them in some way like how they love to buy a full kit or how they think Bobby Firminho is some PL legend. You seem to be quite clued up in their hopes, dreams and aspirations as well as how they go about their games. Just unusual is all friend

Anyone contributor worth their salt should have a fair idea of what all of Everton’s rivals are doing. Anyway, enjoy your night lads. It’s Christmas

Well no, not quite.

This prediction only became relevant two fixtures ago, with the mid round fixtures last week, so it’s far to early call. Liverpool have won two, as have united and city have 4 from 6. Chelsea & spurs have both struggled but against other teams in the European spots, so challenging to judge.

Agree on everything else, fascinating season, loads of unknowns, but by Feb I fully expect a few to have pulled clear. I certainly did not expect united to be one of them though ‍♂️♂️

I seem to remember you stating Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea and City would win 10 from 12.

Spurs have dropped points 3 times, Chelsea twice, City twice and Liverpool once (but twice since you mentioned it).

You didn't mention United.

Lets not try to re-write history mate, it was a prediction thats already been proven wrong.

I’m not - I literally said “I certainly did not expect united to be one of them” in the post above.

Yes I was overzealous in 10 from 12, especially given two were playing each other, but I stand by the point that those squad used to playing in Europe will improve now on the level playing field. It’s a huge advantage for those who are used to playing two or three games a week

Lets see. I mean when you throw Leicester in as well, I'm not sure you are seeing anything like a big advantage for those sides.

United look good, but in honesty they look a well oiled team to me, and are the best team I've seen this season.

Ive been surprised by United also. Their lows are low but at their best they’re the best team we’ve played this season. They seem to have far more craft and firepower in midfield and upfront than City and Liverpool. City and Liverpool arguably with better individual players and more used to being consistent. If United keep up their luck with penalties, and keep up their ridiculous away form then they’ll be in the conversation.

I still think OGS is their biggest weakness (a bit like Chelsea) but they are really in form currently. In a season that will be open, who knows what could happen. They've won a lot of games away from home. A bit like Spurs before, they probably need to win at Anfield.

It’s no surprise they’ve got quality players as whatever happens season after season they just keep throwing money at their problems because they’re such a huge business in their own right. Look at the combined fees and wages on the midfield 3 they can field in the league cup- Pogba, Van De Beek and Fernandes. Transfer fees that probably beat our entire first team last night? And that’s before mentioning 80m Maguire.
Cavani not scored yet? Bring on Rashford and Martial, why not?
We in the meantime bring on Bernard, Davies and Tosun lol

I never said that Everton were wrong to sign the two older players, just pointed out the hypocrisy of slagging them off for extending a proven top level younger players contract who they then wouldn't then have the problem of his contract running down and losing him for next to nothing (compared to his real value.)
I'll bet you are all over an Arsenal thread on a spurs forum being balanced and objective aintcha?

Speaking of which, which spurs forum are you on? I'm interested in joining and discussing all things spurs.
