ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Surely there's an asterisks over this season as well, sod the scabs like
Definately an asterisk. Without fans there has to be 100% just as there is with every single trophy won by every single club during this pandemic regardless of who they are. However, the asterisk is smaller than Liverpool's as this season was consistent. Unlike when they had a 3 month break, changing of the rules, water breaks, five subs etc. Until the stadiums are full to capacity again every single game, never mind trophy will have an asterisk against it.

If they fail to defeat United on Thursday I think they might cry the rest of the season in. Goal difference is very tight, so could go either way, so Leicester would only need 1-2 points to kick them out of it it, with Spurs at home to come and Chelsea's GD is much better so would essentially need 1 win from 3 games (which they hopefully get tonight). They will know it's all done.

What you get from Klopp and this group of players is they don't actually deal with adversity very well. A couple of players get injured and they implode, or they can't win the title they implode etc. They will likely drop 35 points from the season they won the league. It's a complete collapse really, and it began at the back end of last season as well, where they were hammered by Watford and defeated by Atletico Madrid.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Klopp playing some odd line ups, and the players switching off. Palace will be a shoe in win, as they are woeful, but Burnley and West Brom will prove challenging.

You have to fancy United too. They've already cruised to a draw at Anfield in 2nd gear, and stuck 3 pst them at OT earlier in the season. They are a better team and squad than Liverpool, so if they turn up they will get a result. Cavani v Phillips & Williams as should Rashford v Arnold. Complete mis-match.
Even if Liverpool get beat Thursday, if Chelsea get a draw or defeat against Arsenal tonight and a draw v Leicester then Liverpool are still mathemtaically in it; same with Leicester who they have two games in hand over.

I dont see Liverpool getting 3rd or 4th; but I do see this situation being fraught with problems for Klopp. He knows that if they keep playing as well as they can muster they'll seal a EL place he wants about as much as a hole in the head, but 3 wins after the United game doesn't guarantee them a CL place either.

He must be pulling his hair out: knowing deep down they wont get a CL spot, but knowing it's just worth trying to get points and hope against hope both Chelsea and Leicester collapse.

Think Chelsea beat Arsenal easily tonight.

Lol at you making out it's a huge difference and that you have some sort of moral high ground.

Naaaaa, it's the same thing and your club is as bad as theirs for the scab antics.

Not really....the season has been the same for everyone, and from Day 1 everyone knew the story with empty stadiums....

more importantly, there wasn't a lengthy break during the season making the whole thing a complete farce...
there wasnt rule changes introducing water breaks, and 5 substitutions...

This is a legit Title win....
