ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

No, according to this forum you can only sign players when the transfer window is open. Not only that, but all the transfer windows in the Northern hemisphere have to be open before you can do any business.

I think you are exaggerating a bit. More than likely the extreme majority (if not all) understand that you can technically sign a player anytime but won't be registered until the window opens.

My view is that there is no point worrying about no announced signings before the window as it is not as big a deal as some make out. If we are getting to the end of August, or whenever Sky have the super duper let us go to places where nothing is happening and nobody knows anything day, and we have not signed anybody then it is time to worry about what the season is going to bring.

There is little need to get all our knickers in a twist about another club announcing a signing before the window opens or any time, to be honest.

Anyway, back on topic. never seen the guy play, couldn't care less about the signing itself just looking forward to all the 'it is so unfair that other clubs can spend money' stuff that comes when it dawns on them that they are not going to win the league.

Never seen Konate play, but had a quick look on Youtube and he looks a unit like Koulibaly, players just bounce off him, not sure if he's quick or it's his long stride eating up yards, wouldn't look out of place as a linebacker in the NFL.

£35 million doesn't seem that much of a risk for someone his age, had quite a few niggling injuries though, nothing serious.

Only missed 3/4 of a season a couple of seasons back.

Nothing serious though.

Missed an entire calendar year with torn muscle fibre. Nothing serious, just a niggle.

Yes I was thinking that. For a 21 year old, that looks quite a multitude of injuries to me.

Thats the biggest concern with him to be fair. He's a good player and has the potential to be a great player, but the injuries would be a concern. A bit like Matip and Gomez who are not very injury prone.
