ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

People I know went to this without knowing a single Rolling Stones song because it was at Anfield and therefore must in some way be related to being a Liverpool fan. Some went in Liverpool branded clothing. Very very odd behaviour.

To be fair not quite at that level I remember going the Tony Bellew fight at Goodison with two reds, I know he’s a massive blue and came out to Z Cars but it literally turned into like an Everton game with the chanting of “Everton” and songs downstairs, was great looking at the me mates and them hating every second of it.

They did say though it made the atmosphere much better.

Probably the only thing Keith hasn't tried.
Keef in the Anfield dressing room after Herr Klopp's latest medication tray is passed around....

I think the difference is that Bellew is an Everton fan and the reason he chose the venue, the Stones have no affiliation too the RS, its just a convenient big venue.

If they get BMD right then the concerts will only be a small part of the revenue jigsaw. A large part of the concert money goes to the artist who’s playing and they’re expensive to put on with all the lighting and sound plus security. Money comes in through some of the ticket sales and refreshments.

If they get BMF right and link it up to the rest of the waterfront there’s no reason that fans couldn’t be drinking in the fan zones any night of the week, watching away games, work dos, virtually anything would bring revenue in without having to put on huge events. But yes, even when we did put on a big event it would be miles better than Anfield for holding it.

Concerts are extremely profitable for venues.
