ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Heartwarming to read that Nunez will be heading to training on the bus, with his boots on a piece of string, from his modest digs over at Mrs Flaherty's.

Brings us back to happier days, when everybody did football 'the right way'.

Apparently half time at Anfield is going to be a plate of oranges and a Capstan Full Strength as well. No fancy Isotonic drinks for these lads. Salt of the earth.

To put it into context.

When Liverpool bought Allison, the world record fee for a keeper at the time was still the 32 mill paid for Buffon I believe. They paid over double the world record fee at the time.

Similarly I think Stones was the most expensive defender at the time for about 50 mill. They then went and increased that by more than 50% for Van Dijk.

They don’t spend money though.
No way. That would ruin the transfer market.

Looking at the three bullet points it all still boils down to too many fans with blag tickets or without tickets hoping to bunk in that has caused the chaotic scenes.

But according to Danny Mills it was our fault.

Hala Ma F"*ing Drid!

Mate, they have been doing it for years. Iirc, they broke the British transfer record twice in quick succession when they bought Souness and Dalglish in 1977,
then went on to win the European cup the same season, so imo they bought success. That was alot of money in those days.
