Thanks, you have answered my questions. I appreciate you being honest enough to say that the Everton honours list should include women's honours as being indistinguishable from men. I personally don't agree.

Really though, by your argument you can't make excuses for people 'subconsciously' only counting the honours of men. If you are well aware of the misogyny of this two-tiered approach then others should be too. In this day and age, and in light of the Euros success, nobody has an excuse for not making women's football the equal of the men's game in your eyes. You can't have it both ways.

In reality, does it have to be one or the other? The leagues should in an ideal world have the same weighting, but also be celebrated or criticised in their own right.

I use the curling example (a sport picked randomly by the way) where you could say we've been successful as a nation, while highlight the success of females.

In football, the male league should be celebrated on its own likewise with the female, with a combined total becoming something regarded too.

But there's a long way to go before that.

This is way off topic, but using a little known/played sport that has its results shared in a non gender specific medal table doesn't really translate for me.
