ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

I’d put my mortgage on Robertson not receiving any punishment whatsoever.
If this happens then the FA have basically let down all referees at all levels in the country again. The Mitrovic ban wasn’t harsh enough.

This is slightly off subject, but Premier League referees apparently earn ‘up to’ £70k a year. In La Liga apparently it’s believed to be around 4x that amount. Who in their right mind would aspire to be a Premier League referee when you see the amount of abuse they routinely get? You’d have to be insane.

Maybe if referees salaries were increased to be a little more in line with players then we might get a better standard of personnel and officiating levels.

The FA need to make a point here. If you touch the referee it should be an immediate yellow card. Give the referee some proper power and respect like in rugby union.

The BBC Sport website has its usual dozen articles about them today - best game ever, don't poke the bear, etc – absolute cringe fest
They are 8th in the table. WGAF

Funny how all the attention is on the linesman and not the little scrote who was tugging at his arm

Hackett said the FA has a big decision to make over a potential punishment for Hatzidakis.

"If he is found guilty of this, his career is in jeopardy," said Hackett.

"The ban on Aleksandar Mitrovic wasn't long enough, so this has got to be the equivalent if he is found guilty.

"I would like the FA to convene a meeting this week and resolve the issue by the weekend."
Poor Robertson

No talk on banning Robertson for instigating it all by doing exactly what Mitrovic did, what a surprise

Touch the ref or linesman and it should be immediately red. Obviously hand shakes and some mutually amicable interaction should be allowed. Match officials have a difficult job without being accosted by big babies.

Appalling consistency from the fa...
Toney allowed to continue playing contributing plenty of goals and assists, directly affecting games and the league while the investigation is taking place....

A linesman defends himself in the face of a player grabbing him and screaming st him in an abusive manner and it's his career In jeopardy?

If it was anyone but big red they'd be praising the liner

Both laid hands on each other so the penalty should be the same. What ever the liner gets that scottish muff should get too.

Rank hypocricy from the refereeing bodies as usual .. bet all the refs/liners, at all levels of the game, through out the country, feel even safer today.
