ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

It’s proper funny, I wonder if they’ve ever sat down and actually seriously thought that they want their owners out because they won’t buy a £150m midfielder. I wonder if they’ve ever reflected on their plight in comparison to what other clubs’ owners have done to them.

They will whinge and cry to no end about “der oil clubs” ruining football, and then become outraged when their own club doesn’t act like an oil club. They are a fanbase of 10 year olds, just think they’re entitled to success.

I decided to Google "Liverpool Signings" and go back a few years.

This is Anfield have lists and figures for each year.
2017/18 (Coutinho year) they spent £155m and brought in £180m
18/19 spent £170m brought in £33m
18/20* spent £9m in £46m
20/21 spent £87m in £52m
21/22 spent £86 in £52m
22/23 spent £136m in £72m

Plucky little guys.

What’s mad is that given they qualify regularly for the champions league, then in reality they aren’t badly run . Especially the fact they have millions of day trippers buying a full kit and shin pads every game , their wages are obviously massive but generally it looks ‘ok’. They can’t have that though they have to make out like they’re Blackpool or something . Bizarre
