ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Minority view here.

I personally think the AssRef should get some form of punishment.

You can give it the "ROBINSON STRUCK HIM FIRST" all you like, but if every time somebody got brushed on a footy pitch it becomes acceptable to elbow smash somebody in the nose, then, well, footy will be more entertaining, thats for sure.

Soz lads.

Sorry Goat, the Lino has done nothing wrong here and should never have had any punishment at all - his reaction was an accident. Actually, I find it incredible that smack rat baby is getting away with no punishment at all considering what they did to mitrovic.

The player is aggressive and initiates the contact with the official, after play has stopped and he is heading to his colleagues to go off for half time. It was a perfectly natural reaction to the contact from a player who should not have approached him or touched him at that time.

Your example of two players throwing elbows at each other makes no sense - they would and should be punished accordingly - this is an unusual situation and it’s all the fault of the player, in this instance.

I just dont think elbowing somebody in the face is a normal or acceptable reaction to somebody putting a hand on you.

One thing this linesman incident combined with mitrovic may do is lead to refs being quicker to get cards out for aggressive dissent.

It will be interesting to see but I would put money on at least one booking this weekend, the cynic in me thinks it won't be a club playing in red but still be good to see.
Know doubt it’ll be us that will be made an example of on Saturday.

Everton that.

They even had to get Aldridge on the racing from Aintree on ITV this afternoon just to tell us he s backing Noble Yates in the grand national because of "big Ron Yeats".
Any excuse from the media to make another sporting event about them just because its in Liverpool.
I am backing 'Ain't That A Shame' because Livarpool cannot sign Belly.
