ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Jesus the rs media hyperbole is sickening...
Tory Trent apparently on par with de bruyne after one game against a side that git destroyed by palace

Champions league quarter finals this week with Chelsea looking for a turnaround against the current champions and City going to the best side in Germany.

British media: ‘let’s talk about how the 8th placed team in England beat a bottom of the table team in a meaningless league fixture and used a tactic for their full back who can’t defend which just coped what Pep did a few weeks ago but let’s pretend Jürgen invented it for Trent and run multiple stories on how he’s up there with De Bruyne after one game’

Some of those lads in that team are bitter enough to prefer to see us down than them put up an unlikely top 4 push now. The likes of Henderson, Robertson, Van Dijk, wouldn’t hesitate a second to turn in an absolute stinker if it meant we went down. They’d be heroes for it and their fans would love it. We’d only have ourselves to blame at all but i wouldn’t put it past any of them. Even Klopp was going on about Everton after they’d just won their 6th European cup, he’d absolutely revel in sending us down.
They cant send us down, look at the table. We can though.

Where has this 'Trent' come from, exactly.

It is absolutely sickening, even when said in jest. I nearly threw up in my mouth just writing it above. I can just about understand the morons that support that club being all (imaginarily) pally with him but it is when random journalists say it, that have no affiliation with the club. I mean if there was an article about how good any other player in Premiership it would always be the surname or full name. It would be Saka's greatest goals/assists, Jack Grealish plays like [player name], etc.

Why is it with him that he is everybody's best mate, I really, really, really don't get it.

Still wouldn’t put it past this lot getting top 4 Look at their fixtures, their hardest game is West Ham away. 9 points behind a Newcastle team with harder fixtures who are prone to a draw and will probably get shafted by the refs if the RS have a chance.

The only saving grace might be if that shafting delivers us 3 points against Newcastle which I would happily accept right now.

Even if they win all of their remaining games, they need. Newcastle to lose 2 and draw 2.
They would also then need Brighton to lose one and draw one.
Not going to happen thankfully. Hopefully they end up in the waste of time cup flying to Turkey every other week.

Newcastle could easily lose their next two, they’ve got Spurs and us, they could easily draw both and that 9 point gap becomes 5. 8 games is a lot of football.
