It’s the only thing that annoyed me about Moyes, the absolute reverence he had for teams like United and Liverpool, going there with a weakened West Ham side because he doesn’t think they could win anyway. Could hear a pin drop sometimes. The atmosphere in top flight English football generally sucks due to it being so pricey and the working class being priced out.

The truth, but expect to be called out for this.

Traditionally games were populated exclusively by working class men and boys, kick off on Saturdays at 3-00pm, after the pubs had been open from 12-00 noon.

This is now seen as 'an embarrassing' and 'inconvenient' past in some quarters.

This isn’t a Liverpool issue, it’s a modern football issue. Certainly at this level anyway. It’s a completely sanitised product to be consumed.
