ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

In disarray.

That's what they are - and their fans know it...which is why they;re tearing each other apart on their forums.

A huge clearout in the summer

A step into the unknown with a new manager

Fans who hate the owners and will turn on them if / when Slot falls on his face...or even before he does

Don't expect them to add to their 'elite' level of 1* title in 34 years any time soon. They'll be lucky to recover in half a decade and come with a team capable of challenging again.

It's over for Liverpool.
they have bulled themselves up (without real justification) in the last few years that there are some big egos in that squad that new manager will have to keep the lid on, with lots of no marks thinking they are the new Messi. The Salah v Klopp spat was just an insight into what is coming. Their frustrations when they start to slide down the league will be very public

They may have missed their chance to cash in on Salah for anything like £100-150m. Is anyone really likely to pay that sort of money for him in the current environment? Last year the Saudi League threw money around and players were willing to take it thinking "how bad could it be?". It's not guaranteed that this year will be the same. The league is poor quality, the attendances are pitiful, the lifestyle is terrible for players and their families, especially compared to the lives they are used to living. The PIF may look at it as a gamble that won't pay off and concentrate on other things. It could all become another distant memory like the Chinese Super League.

Salah might prefer to see out the last year of his contract and go on a free to someone like PSG for a couple of years.

The thing is, I'm starting to feel the fee won't be up to this point because Saudi Arabia have shown that they're not going to be the free spenders people thought.

Who else is going to take him for that fee if he is on the decline, like people are saying? I think it'll be closer to £100m or they will keep him.
his wages need to be matched or close to what he currently gets, as well as a stupid asking fee. I hope he stays and stinks the gaff out with moody tantrums. He was completely AWOL in the derby, even Young had him in his pocket!

That loss to us has totally broken them… they are mentally finished. No heart, no fight, no desire…. They are absolutely broken.
The two games against United rocked them backwards but the derby finished them off.

Derby defeats or setbacks can do that:

Dalglish resigned after one. Rodgers was sacked after one. Klopp and his players were shattered after one.

I've been listening to TalkSport this morning. Heard nothing about the Klopp-Salah war (sorry, 'spat').

If that was any other club we'd hear nothing else in the UK media...all of it.

The Kopites control over the media is there for all to see. As Redknapp said last night: "Let's just sweep this under the carpet and move on".

Once you see it, you can’t unsee it.

It makes it all the sweeter that the two games that have derailed their season were against United and us. That must be absolutely galling for them.

They're floored by it. They talk up these 'derbies' and they couldn't stand the heat of them.

They buckled and their club is broken. That's their reality and they hate it, and each other.
they like derbies and talked them up when we were easily rolled over, they looked shell shocked on weds, by both our players being all over them and the crowd being immense.
