Nope, disagree. Not a brilliant manager but a cunning chemist.I am very glad he's gone. He is probably the ultimate lab grown Liverpool manager in terms of being some kind of bizarre cultish figurehead who bullys others but gets away with it because he's so ''''''''charismatic'''''' despite being a classless tosser.
Unfortunately he's also a brilliant football manager and I hope they struggle without him.
Don't come back.
It was difficult to not like him in his first few months, but it changed when there were a few grumbles. He looked, and worked out what he had to do. He needed to play to their prejudices, obsessions and re-writing of history and act up.
All this 'he made us believe again' guff is true, he used their own propaganda to turn himself into a deity. He took legends of über scouse and lapped it up, made the media dance with outright blinkered hypocrisy and believed in his 'geggenpressen' routine which is 'chase the ball'. To do that he needed willing no marks to become super heroes, fuelled by ' athletic longevity regimes' making the likes of James 'Captain Tom' Milner look like Usain Bolt for 120 minutes.
In a level sporting world he's Roberto Martinez, in this Premier League world of doping, financial doping, clickbait media, fuelled fake rivalries, staged 'events', twisted narratives and betting scams from players to work up betting scams on the pitch.
It's an.absolute charade that we're all caught up in.
That doesn't make him.a good manager, it means he knows how to milk the system and that cult he belongs to.
