Fair enough to hiim ^
The amount of the mutants trying to justify it is horrifying though.
Don't know what I'm surprised - "Suarez is Innocent" after all.
What I think football clubs aren't getting in general is that this isn't about what they are doing , it's taking advantage of loopholes essentially to save a few quid.
If Liverpool's top earners for example took 20% pay cut then they wouldn't have to rely on the government / tax payers to pay the staffs wages. Same as any any club.
Then you have tits like Townsend coming out crying about all the work they are doing in the community much like Liverpool have said on the statement. That means nothing if when is all said and done WE will be paying for those missing wages .
Bigger picture is that when Liverpool go and drop like 70 million on a player next , 1 million of that would have paid every single member of staff for the foreseeable future. Same as any other club doing this.
Football is so out of touch with the real world at the best of times but right now , I'm ashamed of it. So much money goes into the game and they can't find it to give back, even fighting against the idea of players losing a small amount of wages that people earn in years each week.
The world is asking to band together and support each other. Yet football has decided they are too big to do that. Every single fan should be vocal about it , demanding more from their club at the top table in England. Yet sadly you get fans like kopites still wanting to defend them
