ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Leeds had a 60 million pound turnover where Ridsdale got loans of over 150 million, they missed on CL and it came crashing down as they needed CL revenues with wages almost 90% of turnover, Ridsdale should been banned from football for life after what he presided over.

Almost 20 years later you have the SKY 6 clubs in England with turnovers of 430-650 million range.

None of those clubs are doing a Leeds anytime soon, they have wages to ratios under 60% in the last turnover results.

Think the upcoming trading period is a bit more important than a few flukey CL runs over the last 2 years.

Do Liverpool deserve the prem title?

Not being bitter but they don't deserve the title unless they've actually won it - which they haven't. As it stands, it's possible that they wouldn't win it if we played the rest of the games. Don't care how many points they're ahead.

I guarantee if this was Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea they would probably eventually agree to void if it meant we could run a full season next year.

A turnover that involves massive match day revenues, 7 figure sums for every appearance on TV which they do at least once a week and huge performance related sponsorship incentives none of which look like being achieved.

The times reported the £100 million losses some individual teams have suffered this week. The Mirror reported a team is losing £9 million per week. These figures are way beyond anything Leeds or teams in this league who don’t have a rich benefactor have ever experienced.

I don’t particularly want Spurs, Arsenal, United or Liverpool to change owners, I don’t think those they have are great anyway but I’ll certainly revel in them having to sell players and not be able to strengthen due to these losses.

Would be hilarious if they get denied the title - although we all know the Authorities will bend backwards to gift them it.

Probably wouldn't even put an asterick next to it the scummy bum lickers.

As I said elsewhere earlier, City and the like are going to get stronger before next season, this is the brethren’s one shot of getting that monkey of their back, the fear of not getting it is driving them to keep delaying a decision

if they are given n it without completing the league then we can always call it the covid cup and they will always know it wasn't a proper win. and even if they have their parade everyone wi know it was a sympathy award.

I think if one of the main leagues either us, Spain, Italy or Germany call it void the others will follow. I think it's a case of waiting for someone to make that decision. The Dutch league isn't high profile enough but is a step in the right direction. The RS will hope Germany get up and running as that will give them hope but if that gets aborted I think the writing will be on the wall.

Hang on is Ben blaming other people because nobody told him not him to go ? This is Ben totally refusing to accept any responsibility for his own actions as if he’s a 4 year old child . When anyone tries to claim the always the victim chant is about something deeper or vile they simply miss out stuff like this .

100% this is the case.
The night before they played Athletico we played away in Germany but I lost £320 because I CHOSE not to go.
I was lucky in that someone out there bought my much sought after £50 match ticket off one of my many mates who still went, (well they all went.)
Don't blame others for your own choices!

And I must also add that the only reason I was able to Germany was because I CHOSE not to go to any Champions League home games (can't afford to keep paying £60 a game) to help pay for going to the away games but unfortunately, in the end I went to none.
But again, that's what I chose to do.
