ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Jonathan Walters has made a valid point on twitter about how it's a waste of resources/emergency services and it'll still be putting players at risk via equipment.

His replies are the reds mostly Irish giving him abuse, some saying Roy Keane was right to humiliate him when he was upset over his mothers and brothers deaths.

They're beyond any sporting cult, it's honestly nauseating to read, some saying we've waited 30 years as if that has any relevence.

We've all know they're drunk on self entitlement and arrogance, but during this self isolation and reading some heartbreaking stories, they need some serious wake up call and voiding the season, although being in the best interest of the UK, would be justice.
The majority of them particularly the twitter types and the 'have your say' comments section ones are akin to sociopathic 11 year olds.

Pal has just sent me this - seems it is on the RS Daily Bugle front page (I can't even go there to look at it myself).
"Lets see who we could blame for this one....."

Who could and should have stopped controversial Liverpool v Atletico Madrid match
The ECHO asks who was behind decision to go ahead with the fixture
I'm not a betting man,but I would put money on the rs being bottom of the list,Joe Anderson near the top,he is a bitter after all

Its very hard to put up with the RS bias media and hoards of cult fans in Ireland. My own very best friends were all the same. We could never talk about football in earnest because of their one eyed “On the pool” views. The Suarez case was the final straw , they all suddenly became fluent in Spanish and latin american culture to defend the rat. The Irish media has the same problem as the Echo , there are so many who believe the cult that they need to feed their tiny brains. Twitter has allowed the bottom feeding grunts a platform to show their true colours.

I really don’t see how they can allow football to restart whilst there is still any form of social distancing enforcement in place (Even behind closed doors). Imagine you are a small independent bar/cafe/hairdresser/tattoo studio and being told you still can’t open up and allow customers in whilst a bunch of overpaid footballers were allowed to have close physical contact whilst producing the various bodily fluids that could aid transmission just so they can maintain their ridiculous salaries.

”Oh it’s alright, everyones been tested” - yeah well they can’t even get enough tests done for front line health and care staff yet so that’s going to sit really nicely as well.

But then we do have a Tory government in charge so anything is possible. If they do allow prem football to start up again whilst restrictions are in place I won’t be following any of them from that point onwards.

Here's a scenario.

Do this whilst on lockdown or heavy social distancing measures.

Test players , they come back fine. Except someone catches the virus between games, gives it to other players. Perhaps one or two from a team catch it badly and have to isolate , second test for the team = can't continue playing

Then what? Can't have those players play any more games which means noone else can play.

Delaying the inevitable again.
Waking up to another wave of the combined media trying to push this season over the line propaganda.
Trying a new angle of free to air behind closed doors games would be the ultimate tonic for the nation.....
Thousands still dying worldwide every day...
Big money footballs current lack of self awareness is truly sickening on so many levels.

I said it a few weeks ago but the way football has operated through this is embarrassing. Why a player who makes 80 grand a week or more can't take a cut of those wages to pay the people working at their own club is selfish beyond belief.

Never mind the club's that could go under , these players won't even help out the staff who they work with on a daily basis.

Proof that football is beyond saving now.

As long as they get them two wins - they think the universe will align and the plug can then be pulled at any point - cue the media u-turn of yeah it was never gonna work behind closed doors .....and can we have our tin pot now.... shouts.

So the P/L want to break every rule about social distance, keeping safe by playing a contact sport, opening up the clubs gyms, training facilities, canteens and having hundreds of staff milling around the ground. Then having players travelling hundreds of miles all around the country, for a spectator sport without any spectators?

I see theyve rolled out a catwalk of ex players jockeying for the RS to takeover the plaudits for Captain Tom with individual comments. Bloody cheek of their arrogance... a few of them saying "From one former Captain to another...."
Different sort of medals were talkin there, pal.
Heard that yesterday on Durhams show, positively chuffed he was talking about his redmen basking in any reflected glory.

All depends what happens in Germany in 2 weeks time. If that doesent get started every league will be voided :D

Even if Germany re-starts we are almost done. They haven't moved above a rolling average of 200 deaths a day (a useful metric to allowing players to train again). We are around 800 per day and weeks away from that position. They've been testing hundreds of thousands more people a day than us. Until we are at that point, we won't even be returning to training never mind playing.

What Germany establishes is, it has to be done by the end of June, hence with Holland have seen it won't happen. Unless deaths collapse over the last week or 2, we are completely out of time. Holland is the first domino to fall. UEFA won't punish them, now watch every other league follow.

I see they’ve rolled out Dalglish, Henderson, etc to send messages to that Captain Tom. Doing their best to try and make themselves the club with the most compassion, the bad weirdos.

They’ll jump on literally any bandwagon as long as it gets them some attention.

They want nothing more than media attention. Look at us, look at us, please look at us, why aren’t you looking at us. Morbid cult.
