ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

This is standard practice for them. They don't care about the NHS, nurses, people who are dying. In their heads they are the real heroes, all that matters is sport and they should be getting the credit. The fact they are for the most part a gang of parasites and no marks who offer nothing for society passes them by.
Its not even sport that matters, its Libberboolfootballclub, its not about intergrity or decency, its about being able to scream in peoples faces and pretend their life is better because of who they support

This whole war language being used by the media and politicians is horrible and misguided.
Describing NHS staff as heroes and in a battle is wrong. They wouldn't be dying or need to be so self-sacrificing if they had proper PPE and more staffing. They're professional who signed up to care, not lay their lives down.
The "battling spirit" of Boris Johnson for surviving Coronavirus is wrong too. It assumes that people who did die were cowardly or weak.
A number of older people also talk bollocks about the "blitz spirit" and would carry on as normal. Well you're acting like the fecking Luftwaffe if you go spreading it around by carrying on as normal.
RS bollocks about "football is more important than life or death" or "this means more" has never seemed so hollow.

It's what they've been doing with the army for years mate. Send them off to die without the proper gear but make sure the media call them heroes so they actual facts of the matter are ignored.

I had the solution to this for Liverpool a few weeks back: declare Liverpool Winter Champions and give them some sort of shield or set of silver steak knives.
Maybe one of those glass bowls from Costco Sir Phillip Carter used to present on the pitch years ago, if we still have any of the job lot left will suffice for them? ;) lol

We had a delivery at the hospital of chocolates from "Hendo","Robbo""Trento" et al the other day, everyone was waxing lyrical about how marvellous that lot are,a fellow blue I work with pointed out, everyone including our own hospital locally may well have not been under such a strain if they had not have played that Athletico game he said he knew what he wanted to do with their chocolates lol

The 80's were very different mate. I remember at Goodison on a wall in the "Pen" area outside the away end sprayed the words
"Stanley Blade lives here."
They certainly were. While I don't think the stanley comment is off the same level of offensive nature as the fenian comment, it'd be naive to ignore our own issues.

Everton, like so many others*, had a very strong racist element during the 70s- 80s: and because it was aimed at a different group didn't make it any less wrong.

*that's not an excuse, but rather a statement of football as a whole.

I think one of these will be appropriate:
