ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

By the time these so called behind closed doors are planned to commence - Imagine only being concerned about your team winning a pot when enough people to fill an average stadium will have died through no fault of their own by then all with families, friends and loved ones - can they not see this?
What a truly ghoulish reality modern football is bending over backward to help create.

This means more than 20,000 plus lives to them. I’d rather they just gave it to them than the thought of playing matches without fans. I absolutely hate them and the monster that they’ve become.

Moving heaven and earth just so Liverpool can be given their poxy trophy

Here's an idea, end the season now and declare them champions

Rather that than putting people's lives at risk
A few on here have been saying this for weeks Mikey.
Just give it to them.
Get the photos taken. Get Sky to jizz over it.
No one's arsed.
Football has changed in the mindset for loads of people already in my opinion. Why not put a top hat on it.

Here's a scenario.

Do this whilst on lockdown or heavy social distancing measures.

Test players , they come back fine. Except someone catches the virus between games, gives it to other players. Perhaps one or two from a team catch it badly and have to isolate , second test for the team = can't continue playing

Then what? Can't have those players play any more games which means noone else can play.

Delaying the inevitable again.

I said it a few weeks ago but the way football has operated through this is embarrassing. Why a player who makes 80 grand a week or more can't take a cut of those wages to pay the people working at their own club is selfish beyond belief.

Never mind the club's that could go under , these players won't even help out the staff who they work with on a daily basis.

Proof that football is beyond saving now.
It's easy to say that, but without knowing each player's personal circumstances how do we know that they haven't/aren't doing what you suggest i.e. paying towards the wages of club employees? Put yourself in their position and ask what you would be doing, and then ask if you would be publicising it? For all you know some, or all, premiership players are giving all their money to relatives, friends, charities and the staff at their clubs who are in need. In fact I would be surprised if the majority of them aren't doing just that.

Mate he's vile.

He is supposed to be an expert, pontificating to us unwashed masses how we should finish the season as is, and Villa should be relegated even though they have 9 games to play. Now I hate Villa but how on Earth is it fair they get relegated 3/4 through a season. They could put a run together, they’ve already played City and the RS home and away, they might have easier games left than their rivals. But nah relegate them cos some whopper journalist is desperate for Furlougherpool to get the title they haven’t yet won.

The majority of the replies to that article were agreeing that people only want it voided due to hatred of the RS. Such a deluded, selfish fan base, the deaths around the country mean nothing. Not surprised the RS read the Mail, it's full of lies and hatred. Oliver Holt get in the bin you second rate journalist.

I think in a sense they are right, Ollie.

I personally would not give a stuff if it was any other team but the RS in pole position and the Title was awarded to them.

Nor I suspect would most others on this Forum and in the wider world of English football supporters.

The RS are uniquely hated outside their own deluded cult and that is indeed what motivates many to seek a cancellation of this woe begotten season
