There's no such thing as "behind closed doors", it's still a minimum of 100 people in and around the stadium. If they're allowing this, then they might as well re-open pubs and restaurants and start allowing us to pile into supermarkets because they'd essentially be saying mass gatherings are safe again.

Players social distancing ? The whole idea is absurd. It’s just the distractionary word that is being peddled around to keep people switching on to sky sports in the hope they get some news either way

I’m slowly leaning towards the idea of Henderson lifting the trophy in an empty Anfield whilst the rats can’t even watch it in the pub.

Ultimately ; the most fun outcomes involve them winning it for me, especially if they win it next season too.

If they void it and they go on and win it next season it will be grim, give them their first title in the grimmest way possible imo.

1st choice - zone off anfield and remove residents, give them the trophy and allow them to congregate - then seal them in until the virus works it way through them, no medical aid from the government

2nd choice - cancel league and mail them the trophy

3rd choice - behind closed doors and they lift the cup in silence

The most sensible is voiding the season.

The most fun would be them getting relegated next season.

I have thought this too.

The whole charade is to keep the game in social consciousness. Keep it relevant.

Realistically there is no way the season can finish. It is utterly absurd that people really believe it can be.

Wimbledon could have been played behind closed doors more safely than football. Yet that has been cancelled.

It seems the bundesliga is being used as the blueprint to follow. Let’s hope that a few players show symptoms and have to go in to isolation for 14 days. There’ll be no coming back from that then.
