ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Wait you mean he wasn't too busy to keep posting yesterday, he just changed accounts? Well stone me, I'm stunned at that, I thought he was genuinely busy, not just running off because he had no idea how to respond to the points being made to him.

Not too many posters routinely type “where about” rather than “whereabouts”, this could be a coincidence of course.

There’s no denying he’s an extremely good manager. The post I responded to compared him to Ferguson as the greatest of all time though which obviously isn’t the case. I wouldn’t say he is the best in the world given Zidane has three CLs in a row and Guardiola has pretty much won every single trophy that Klopp hasn’t in the past three seasons.

A very good manager but two trophies in 5 years does not make you the greatest of all time or the best in the world.

They tend to do this a lot. They can't just be happy at having a fantastic manager. He has to be the best manager ever and better then Ferguson. When it's pointed out to them it's laughable, they get really angry and assume it's some campaign against them.

I mean Klopp will probably go down alongside say, a Wenger as a manager. A very good manager who had an innovative way of playing. But no, he's nowhere near Alex Ferguson. I doubt anybody will get near Alex Ferguson for some time.

I like you posts catcherintherye. Lot of good thoughts and sensible approach to most things. Don't take any notice of the people knocking you in here.

However, I'd be amazed if Mane is sold for 50M this summer. Do Liverpool have that much debt? I'll be honest I don't take much notice to football finances, even less so to other teams. Not even seen much about Liverpool's finances in the media. Is this another example of the media burying their bad news and painting a rosy picture when it's far from it?

On Mane, he's just turned 28 so I would say Hazard is a comparable transfer. He went for 100M last summer and had just 1 year left on his contract. Is Mane going for less due to Liverpool's financial issues, the downturn in the transfer market of a bit of both?

It's hard to say but I'd have Mane as one of the Top 5-10 attacking players in the World so him going would make a massive impact. With 50M they wouldn't be able to replace him adequately either.

Alright mate, don't worry I give enough out to deserve a bit of stick back!

I think there are 2 factors here. Firstly Hazard is miles better than Mane and is far more suited to Spain. Secondly the situation we are in will kill prices. Real Madrid have very little money. I'm just going off them not wanting to bid more than £75m last summer. They're not bothered about Mane, he'd be a squad player for them.

He is now older, as you say 28, the market for over 27's is being it heavily. In general it's not a good time to be trying to sell players 27 upwards. Their values could fall by maybe 50% maybe 75%.

As for their debt problems, they are pretty severe. Probably £140m lost between the end of the season and the start of this circus season. More to come with no pre-season games, massive reduction in merchandise sales, sponsors either downgrading, not renewing or coming out of agreements etc.

In all seriousness I have no idea if they sell Mane. I doubt it, they probably know they've missed the boat. Nobody is going to bid £120m for him. And they will not be signing Mbappe. I've been saying that for months now, even when most of the experts on LFC were going on abouthim being in the bag with their £100m sponsorship with Nike (thats actually worth just £30m).

Absolutely spot on!
Klopp is half decent - no doubt about that, but his previous track record shows he doesn't sustain it.
Guardiola has won 4 of the last 8 Premier League titles and a swag full of other trophies whilst doing it. Mourinho
sustained it for a time as obviously did Ferguson. When Klopp gets somewhere near that we can discuss just how good he is. Let's not forget that he has also spent an absolute fortune (and it has been spent wisely to be fair) doing it, not to mention the sky high wages and agents fees to go with it.
Klopp has done OK but nothing special for the amount of time he has been there. Lets see what he does over the next 2 or 3 seasons? I personally believe he will be gone after next season. Back to Germany for the national job or possibly Bayern.

He can only celebrate once he takes @catcherintherye down. This is his quest, sent by rawk with wilko and gwladys as his sidekicks.
what a sad life these individuals must lead, I can barely be arsed looking on my own team's forum never mind wumming on another. The sooner their mum's allow them to take off their nocturnal boxing gloves the better

The one thing I've always thought about Klopp is, if he wasn't at the RS the majority of us wouldn't have a problem with him and would laud him big style.

Oh don’t get me wrong he is a deranged horror show of a human being and an absolute cringeworthy mutant, but he fits that club like a glove.

There isn’t a manager out there more perfect for them and probably never will be ever again. I was saying he’d end up there in about 2012, nothing was more nailed on. It’s like he was created in a Frankenstein lab for the sole purpose of managing Liverpool Football Club.
