ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Hasn't Suarez, apart from being a cheating racist little snide, been ace for them this season? I haven't really been paying attention to them on the pitch tbh, just the media circus off it.

And also will people please stop calling Dalglish Dogleash? It's not even vaguely insulting or funny.

Could just be me being a boring old [Poor language removed] but I think the likes of 'Dogleash', 'Queen Kenny', 'Mandy Carroll' are just the worst things ever. They're not even good puns.

Mandy is because he's the dead spit of Mandy Dingle. Although she can jump higher.

And "King Kenny" makes me cringe, especially when non-reds or grown men use it.

Counts for [Poor language removed] all now, regarding as a manager or a man.

He's one of those. Outside of football, he's a fantastic person. Tireless fundraiser, all the stuff he did after Hillsborough, he's on another level of sound.

But when he enters the doors of Anfield or Melwood, he becomes this pissy spewing upside-down-scarf numpty. A bit like Neil Warnock or Clough.

actually met the cnut on a golf course in Spain. Heard my accent and actually asked if i was a scouser! Told him to fu ck off. Tit.

Hahaha loving it Tom.

I dunno what my reaction would be if I saw Gerrard or Daglish or another one of their players. I certainly wouldn't be rushing to get their autographs.

I would love to give Gerrard an open hand slap across the face, bring him back to his childhood as the quote goes.

If I met any Liverpool Player, Manager past or present I would be courteous, friendly and prepared for good-natured banter - unless they gave me cause to be otherwise. Same as I would be to anyone in fact. :)

Yeah usually I'd say the same. But Gerrard... I wouldn't go out of my way to be rude. But I would ignore him the best I could.

In the 80s I went to See Elton John at The Empire.

Crap show - EJ is a charisma-free zone. Never spoke to the audience once. His audience was like an estate agents convention.

I had a pee next to Graeme Souness in the Empire Gents. I ignored him. Blanked him. Didn't even acknowledge his existence. I am sure he was utterly gutted by this. ;) :D

Anyway, back to laughing at LFC...

I've only just remembered the Chelsea one, now that you've mentioned it. I got the impression that the charge was a rarity but that's probably me getting the wrong end of the stick from some of the reactions to the charge. Still, a £20k fine is next to nothing for a multi-million pound football club so it's pretty insignificant.

Has anyone remembered the Sissoko business yet or has that been erased from the selective memories ?
