I think there's the possibility that 'manc [Poor language removed]' and 'black [Poor language removed]' sound pretty similar, especially when it's muffled by a 45,000 crowd. It could have worked either way if that's the case - those saying 'manc [Poor language removed]' may have misheard 'black [Poor language removed]' or the player might have misheard 'manc [Poor language removed]'.
The first is probably more likely because of
his reaction.

It's possible but he must get stick all the time from opposition fans, to provoke that type of reaction he must have been pretty certain of what he heard.

I disagree - they dont sound that similar, and it appears to have been said from quite near him.

I'm not defending it like. It's just a sort of explanation to how there might have been a mixup because that twitter fella is adamant. Likely to be all bollocks though.

Hang on lads there were 6,301,279 witnesses to this sat in the Kop. There's no chance of it going any further, especially when they get their Suarez Dictionary of Local Idioms out to prove it.

Lolling at the manc [Poor language removed] argument they are putting forward now , yeah i can see the lad crying over being called that FFS .

Do you not think that there being no mistake being the most likely scenario?

Very much this.

They'll be rolling out the excuses and they'll be thousands of witnesses who were "only 20 rows away".

20 rows? That's like 30 feet how the hell would he know what was shouted.

Don't see why what I said was so unreasonable. End of the day I heard racial abuse at the United game at GP (and no it was wasn't from me before you start Davek ffs). If that was picked up then we'd all have our names dragged through the mire. I think we're smart enough to know that a few idiots don't make up an entire fanbase, and I'm not going to use one moron to try and hate on Liverpool even more.

Everton Football Club said:
Everton run a matchday service aimed at helping to eradicate offensive behaviour on match days.

Supporters will be able to anonymously text the details of anyone engaging in threatening or intimidating activity to the security team.

The Club is urging fans to make a stand, report offenders and help create a more enjoyable match day experience.

To use the service, simply text HELP followed by the stand, row and seat of the offender and then the nature of the problem to 82085

The difference is lid. EFC and David Moyes wouldn't have reacted as ridiculously as that lot have. They'd of investigated and NOT dragged our name through the mud.

Plus if you're not happy about something the club quite clearly have measures to enable you to contact them.
