When scholes was finished as a AM, his superb ability and footballing brain allowed him to drop deeper extend his career and you could even argue improve as an influence on games, compare this to gerrard dropping deep, surely any argument of who was the better player is done

I see the problem as Rodgers has just got rid of his midfield. Even against poor sides at home they sit back and allow rubbish teams to play which they can then counter when they make mistakes so Suarez gets countless one on one's. They used to have a problem with Pulis' Stoke because they had no interest in playing football. They set up for Liverpool to break them down and Liverpool couldn't because they don't have a creative midfield. Villa equally always want to play on the counter and as they scored first Liverpool has to come out and create for themselves which they didn't do .

Liverpool are more dangerous without the ball. Our passing game is going to have to be perfect because they will cede possession to us willingly even at home. If we score first though their whole plan unravels as it has against most half decent teams this season.

said it all along, he hasn't got a great foootball brain. When in his prime, it was based on his engine and his dead ball.

now he just has dead ball, people joking about lucas' injury but he was probably their 2nd best player in the derby, doubt rodgers will play gerrard there for the derby after today (hope he does), but that just leaves allen or horrenderson for that deep play-maker role, none of them are great at that position, considering they'll be up against barkley, that's where we'll win the derby.

Collymore was giving it to Liverpool supporters on Talksport earlier, calling all the callers hypocrites, fantastic that some people in the media can see what a dirty cheat he is.
