Damagedf goods mate, you wouldn't get anywhere near that for someone who is such a liability, Barca will tempt him and instruct him to manufacture a move in the summer for less than you paid.

Nailed on.

You might get offered Alves or some other bad diving cheating snide in exchange. Go on, "he's der'best leftback in der'werld laaa"

I doubt his reputation is bad at all in Spain, and he's easily worth £35m on ability.

£35M for Suarez???? Is this Dalglish in Wonderland? (by Luis Carroll)

We bought him for £23m and since then he's impressed quite a lot in the Premier League and at international level. He scored 4 goals for Uruguay and got nominated for European Player of the Year. He's still 25 so that's a fair price.

Achieving Nothing = Ballon D'Or shortlist, Copa America Golden Ball

He's damaged goods. It's the way football works. Look at Tevez for example - he's a £50m player two years ago that's going to go now for £25m if they're lucky.

I think you'll get around £26-30m for Suarez if you're lucky, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's closer to £20m.

He's an astonishingly good player, albeit an amazing cheat, but no club is going to pay over the odds to be associated with a racist. Similarly, only the lowest of the low considered Marlon King (see Coventry and Birmingham, desperate Championship fodder).

There's a huge difference though. Tevez is going for way below his market value because he literally refuses to play another game for Manchester City. In that situation, City are pretty much forced in to a **** price because it's either that or no player. With Suarez it's a reputation thing, but when he came to Liverpool he didn't arrive with a bad reputation even if he got an 8 game ban for biting prior to that, and in Spain I think the situation is pretty similar. Talent-wise he is worth £35m and there's no real obstacle that stops him from going at that price.

Also, comparing Suarez to Marlon King is a bit much. Suarez made one very stupid remark to wind up an opponent, Marlon King battered a woman.

Granted he's a pretty decent player but I guess the LFC Media BS Machine will try to inflate his price & overlook his lack of goals (or more pertinently his ratio of shots to goals which isn't great so I believe).

He doesn't score as many goals as he should do given his chances but his best attribute is not as a scorer. He's much more of a centre forward than a traditional 'number 9 striker' in the sense that he is unbelievably good at making something from nothing and creating chances rather than putting them away. Still, he can finish very well when he's on form.
