Whys Holiday a RS? I've seen him posting on the Guardian Everton pages for ages without seeing anything to suggest he's one of them?

That goes for everyone.
Guys, even when quoting from other sources can we remember the no swearing rule - thanks
Apologies. On RAWK there is no swearing filter so I sort of 'censored' them myself with * and the like. I thought I was being a good boy...

Rodgers not learning lessons is the problem. He blamed the players for trying 'Roy of the Rovers' to get the goal difference down. If he was worried by that why did he replace Sterling, who has been instrumental recently, in creating a lot of goals with Moses.
Surely, if he thought LFC were too gung-ho he should have sent on a defender to shore things up, not an attacker. By sending on an attacker he sent out the message to keep going for it, 'Roy of the Rovers' style.
The man's a fraud and by blaming the players he has lost the dressing room. If things were too 'Roy of the Rovers' (yet another 'against all the odds' cliche by the champion of the soundbite) it is up to his captain on the pitch to calm things down.
Leadership on, and off, the pitch is important. Gerrard showed no leadership and he left his 'Pirlo' role, i.e to protect the back 4 and control the game, 'best in Europe' according to Mr. soundbite, to try and do 'Roy of the Rovers'.
Who really runs this team, Rodgers or Gerrard? If Rodgers could see that his players was too gung-ho then he should have called his captain over and tell him so. Or did he and Gerrard told him to [Poor language removed] off, 'we're going for it'.
Rodgers 'philosophy' has changed. It was all tiki taki, now it is launch it forward as quick as possible, to quick forwards. Similar, to Benitez's Torres team, when Alonso, or Gerrard, would launch the ball forward quickly to Torres.
Rodgers tiki taki wasn't going down too well so he changed. Whether that was by design or being forced to by Mr LFC is open to debate. By changing and playing hoofball, LFC have had some success in challenging for the league.
But at the crucial time, all the faults of the manager and his captain were exposed. I can see why Rodgers/Gerrard thought they could go for it. Palace were finding it difficult when they were 3-0 down and were chasing shadows. But as soon as Pulis, manager of the season, without a shadow of a doubt, made the first sub and they scored. Rodgers should have brought on Agger and reverted to tiki taki keep ball and kill the game. His 'philosophy'.
Bad game management by Rodgers, compounded by his captain going AWOL, led to Palace gaining confidence and it showed. And when the second went in Agger should have been brought on with 3 buses. But Mr. soundbite or was it Gerrard thought otherwise.
This was their chance and they may blow it. They will be lucky to win the 7th paced trophy next season as the effects of the world cup catch up with their 'big' players.
If and when they lose the title this season, those ^^^ are the points that will be picked over. At the moment it's all being buried under a blizzard of "the attacking football has been a pleasure to watch blah, blah, blah". But as you say there's been some criminal lack of in-game decision making by Rodgers which has landed Liverpool now as second favourites for a title they had sewn up two weeks ago. If they lose out, when the door was opened to them with loads less games to play and other teams in transition, that'll be the major discussion point at the end of the season, not the leap from outside CL places to 2nd.Rodgers not learning lessons is the problem. I think thats abit OTT mate just over a couple of games leaking a few goals. RS will strengthen at the back in the summer with champions league money, wether it will be a success we dont know, we might see another Sakho, but no matter how much people are saying they blew it i would absolutely of loved to of blown the league with a game to go and still be gaurentee'd top 3. I dont think they will be top 3 next year though as Europe, teams strengthening and people getting used to there tactics may not see them go on such a run they have this year. But to start saying they will finish 7th next season is abit much, Spurs are poo, and Utd have alot of work to rebuild and we may even struggle with extra games. Fingers crossed your right though
After the 2010 world cup, Frank Lampard mentioned around Christmas time that he, Terry and to a lesser extent Cole were feeling the effects of the world cup. From Novemeber 2010 to January 5th., Chelsea's record was played 11 won 2 drew 4 lost 5 .
At the moment Gerrard is running on empty and a world cup campaign will have its effects on him next season, fatigue will mean he will have to have long periods of rest. They are in the CL he will be needed and he will want top play so 'managing' his workload will not be easy. Add to that Henderson and Sterling will be ok, but will need rest after the WC, as will Flanaghan if he goes. They are young enough to cope. Johnson will find it difficult after the WC. Sturridge, looks a bit fragile and the WC will take its toll on him.
Suarez, he will not give anything but his all for Uruguay and will feel the effects. When he came back after their WC play off, he was knackered. He played the Derby then Hull away. In that game he was running on empty and was having a go at all and sundry. He will have to be managed game wise and need a rest, but he is so vital to them that he will be over played. That is if he stays, which I doubt he will.
Fatigue and the extra games in the Champions league will catch up with them.
Disaster?? For whomI haven't seen the match, but apparently the last 15 minutes was a disaster.
See what your saying there about the world cup but wont it be the same for all clubs?
We could have Mirallas, Baines, Howard, Oviedo (although he hasent played much), Jags, Stones all going the world cup. Thank god the irish are poo!
But look at say City, Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal, United the majority of there first teams will all be going the world cup
