I realise that you're trying to be clever. I'm just being honest. You don't have to believe me.

Regardless of what happens in the final match, I don't think you can call Rodgers anything other than an amazing success and a shoe in for manager of the year.
You could make the case for Pulis as manager of the year - and I'm not saying that because of Monday's result.

He took a surefire relegation team and easily steered them to safety, turning over Chelsea, Liverpool, and Everton in the process. Rodgers would be a shoein most years...but Tony is in with a shout.

Why would you not of made a change at 1-3 and tried to see the game out and just settled for the 3 points, instead of trying to claw back a 7 goal differential, with less than 10 minutes to go ??

Goal difference aside, those 3 points sends a message to City surely ?? So no i absolutely don't believe you. If and when City win the championship, no doubt in my mind his lack of tactical nous will be shoved in the spotlight and from there, he will be picked apart.

How can you not see the logic of grabbing the 3 points is more valuable than spunking your entire season on attempting to grab a few goals in less than 10 minutes. Extremely bad management, its suicidal.

I haven't seen the match. I really can't comment.

I think you can definitely make a case for Pulis as manager of the year. I, as a lot of people did, expected Palace to finish rock bottom but Pulis came in and turned it around. It would have been classed as a job well done even if they'd finished 17th, let alone 11th. I think if Liverpool win the league then Rodgers will get it. I still think he'll get it if they finish 2nd but I think Pulis at least deserves a very honourable mention.

Tony Pulis has turned me into a believer.

If I were a team that had just come up from the Championship, he'd be the very first manager I would want in to stabilize the club as a Prem club. Once stabilized and regularly easing to finishes between 9th and 12th, I'd bring in Moyes to push the quality of the squad, and once that was done I'd go look for a sexy manager in the mold of Roberto or other proven winners.

But there is no other manager I'd want if I were in a relegation fight than Tony Pulis.

palace arent a premiership team at all. Their players would struggle to break into the remaining 16 teams in the league (minus relagation teams) and holloway bought poorly into that squad.

So to solidify them and make them midtable is a great achievement. Considering Mackaay was doing that at cardiff before he was sacked it shows a good job on his part.

Probably not manager of the season but i would personally call for pellegrini. Kept his team going despite injuries to key players all season. Now they are still in hunt for the league.

What's so hilarious about Pulis? Palace were dead and buried before he turned up. I'm not saying he would be my pick but it's not as crazy a choice as you appear to think it is.
Red's probably basing it on the fact that he has spent more than Rodgers. Obviously, as we all know, B-Rod has spent nothing. He couldn't even get 'sign-off' on getting the lads a bag of chips each on the way home the other night.

Come on what? I don't have the stats but I'd imagine their form since he's taken over is comfortably top half, they've given most teams a fairly decent game in the last few months and got some big results, and he's just been named Manager of the Month for April I think, if you can't see that's a remarkable turnaround from where they were then I'm baffled.

Like I say, I chose Brendan in a recent poll, I probably still stick by that as much as it saddens me to say, but I can definitely appreciate why people would opt for Pulis.

If Rodgers deserves consideration for getting the Turds into title-contending position, he also deserves to lose some of that credit for bottling it in the last few matches. Otherwise, naming him manager of the year is like naming someone jockey of the year just because he had the best horse.

Poyet should be considered as well, did a similar job to Pulis in turning around Sunderland seasons, managed more games and had good runs in both cups including a final.

Bruce has also done a cracking job at Hull, they were tipped to go straight back down by many but finished fairly comfortably in the league and have a cup final yet to play.

All bigger achievements than finishing top four with a top four net spend and wage budget.
