Technically to be truely 'neutral' you have to have no emotional attachment. We are never neutral for any game as there will always be a player we want to do well/fail in any given game.
Example: Norwich v Newcastle.
We dislike Norwich because of Delia calling us a poisoned chalice, their constant surrender to that lot.
Newcastle have delusional fans, a crass manager and consider themselves massive, having achieved very little.
You could say we are neutral, but at any given circumstance we would support one of them depending on what it meant for others.

The neutrals Big Sam is talking of are the people who do not like or follow football.
Those who moan when soap operas get moved. They want Stevie to win.
Those who hate the WC but will watch England games and have flags on the car. They want Stevie to win.

So he is right but should word it better.

i was literally torn tbh. in the league i sort of favoured cardiff because i live there and it's a possibility of an everton away if they stayed up.

I hope they do come out and give it their all. Just like they gave their all in the cup game at the Etihad, getting pumped in the process. Nothing would delight me more than to see West Ham trying to give these a game, leaving space for Silva, Nasri, Toure and Aguero to do their thing.

Either way bowling ball head here is getting the sack, no question. His team comes out and has a go at city and like his football, they're getting punted back to London. They sit back like Villa and well we know what happened there. City on home turf have been superb. Only Chelsea has taken all 3 there this season. It will stay that way too.
