Martin Tyler then:
"I feel the nation are behind Liverpool today"
What a knob. Lost so much respect for the man the last month. Not so much because of favouritism, everyone's entitled to that, it's the way he tries to dress it up as the neutral perspective.
I work in the city centre, in our place there's about 2 blues, a Leeds fan, a Norwich fan, a Leicester fan, 3 Man U fans and a Rangers fan, the rest are Liverpool fans. Aside from the Rangers fan, who calls himself an adopted Liverpool fan anyway, everyone else wants City to win the title, I mean passionately as well. From guys I've spoken to in Uni, 2 Boro fans and a Villa fan, they want City, can't stand the idea of Liverpool doing it. I appreciate this is a small sample, but it's also pretty resounding to me. So I wanna know where this concept of the nation being behind Liverpool comes from.
